New Orleans, LA

It had been almost two weeks since Thea Mikaelson had gone missing. In that time, Hope and Kaiden had returned to the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted whilst Klaus, Hayley and Freya searched for their mother. The original had also taken a trip out to visit Elijah in France only to find out that the eldest Mikaelson brother had moved on with his life and had no desire to remember his past.

Whilst he was in France, Freya, Hayley and Marcel did everything they could to search for Thea in New Orleans, however, they were still no closer to finding out what happened to her. A fact that irritated Klaus greatly as the suffocating guilt and fear clawed at his lungs every moment he was without her and she remained in danger.

Currently, Klaus was stood in the middle of the French Quarter, watching as the witches worked on their float for Mardi Gras, talking to Vincent Griffith. "So, what exactly are you implying?" the witch questioned, his eyes narrowed at the original angrily, annoyed at the original's accusation. "Hope and Kaiden hid their mother with a cloaking spell. Someone found them, that requires a witch," Klaus replied with a huff of anger.

"So that means it was one of mine?" Vincent retorted incredulously, staring at the hybrid in disbelief, "I don't think so," the witch denied, shaking his head. "You witches always plead virtue, but if history's to be prologue, you're the most rotten of the bunch," Klaus accused, growing more angry the longer he didn't receive any answers.

"As soon as Freya told me that Thea had gone missing, there were a dozen of us witches out there on the streets performing locator spells trying to find her," Vincent retorted, his voice calm though it increased as he continued. "Because Thea is actually a friend to us okay?" the witch continued angrily turn away, acting as if he was unbothered by Vincent's dig.

"Thea, unlike you, has earned our respect. And out of respect to her, I'm only gonna say this to you one time, Klaus. We had absolutely nothing to do with her disappearance. I promise you that," Vincent stated firmly, his tone laced with the same sincerity that shone in his eyes. "A witch's promise is as slipper as snake oil and as effective," Klaus bit back, his tone deadly as it held a hint of warning.

"You want peace and prosperity?" the original asked, looking at Vincent before trailing his eyes over to the two female witches stood behind him. "Prove your innocence and find my wife," Klaus stated angrily, his worry and concern for his missing soulmate fueling his anger and frustration. Vincent and the other witches watched him before nodding their heads.
