The next morning, Thea and Hayley were both sat in the ballroom with Freya, watching as the witch set up the spell that would return Elijah's soul from the pendant. "Rebekah and Kol just landed," Klaus announced as he entered the room, placing his phone in his back pocket, "I just assured them we're mere moments from returning our brother to life. Don't make me a liar," the hybrid stated, looking towards his sister expectantly.

"I can't resurrect Elijah until I'm certain his mind is whole," Freya told him as she continued to set up the spell causing Klaus to frown in mild annoyance. "Well, you saved Finn with that very trinket. What's the problem?" the original remarked with a hint of frustration as Hayley and Thea both watched silently, neither one wanting to get in the middle of the tantrum they were both certain Klaus was about to throw.

Freya sighed as she finally looked up towards him, "when that pendant was shattered, Elijah's mind shattered with it," the Mikaelson witch revealed causing Klaus, Thea and Hayley to frown worriedly. "He's most likely retreated to the innermost of his consciousness," Freya told them all with her own worried frown as she went back to preparing the spell. "How do we find that?" Hayley spoke up, her tone wavering slightly.

"I don't know," Freya admitted with a defeated sigh, placing her hand on the table as he hung her head whilst looking up at each of them. "It could be anywhere in over a thousand years of memories, but if I try fixing the pendant before finding him and healing his mind; he'll be permanently fractured. Like casting a broken bone before its been properly set," the witch explained.

"Spare me the medical analogies and fix him," Klaus told her, a look of impatience on his face that caused Thea to roll her eyes. She understood he was worried, she was too, but his demanding wasn't going to make anything happen any faster. "I need to go inside and find him," Freya replied, shooting her brother a look, "once I'm sure his mind is stable, then I can fix the pendant," the witch told him firmly.

Klaus, however, did not seem to like her answer as he scoffed. "Well, then stop talking and get in there," the original retorted impatiently as Thea sighed in exhaustion. "Nik," the brunette called firmly, drawing the hybrids attention towards her, "take a walk. Get some air. Let her work," Thea told him, "please."

The original frowned, looking down at his wife before looking back to his sister. With a hesitant nod, Klaus turned on his heel and left the room, pouting like a petulant child. "Please tell me that you can do this," Hayley begged the witch desperately as Thea stood to her feet. "He's my brother," Freya spoke, "I'm not gonna stop until he's safe," the witch assured.
