Rebekah was stood in Hope's room, holding a framed photo of herself with Hope and Kaiden kissing her cheeks. The blonde sighed as she put it back on the bedside table, taking the photo she'd taken from Klaus and Thea's room out of her pocket. The photo was of Rebekah and Thea back in Mystic Falls, dressed in their cheerleading uniforms as they smiled happily at the camera.

A tear rolled down Rebekah's cheek as she looked at the photo when she suddenly felt another presence behind her. "I was avoiding you," the blonde sighed as she placed the photo back in her pocket and turned to face Marcel. "Look, I got to ask," Marcel started as he lent against the doorframe, "how come your pain in the ass brother Kol can be happy with someone he loves, but you can't?" the vampire asked with a tone of annoyance.

"Can this conversation please wait?" Rebekah sighed as she moved over to Hope's dresser in the hopes to find her missing key. "Till when?" Marcel scoffed as he watched the blonde with narrowed eyes, "I mean, tomorrow you'll be gone or the world will be on fire," the vampire replied with an almost bitter annoyance as he stood up straight.

"The world is on fire, Marcel," Rebekah retorted as she turned back to face him, her expression displaying a hint of anger, "right now, I just...I need to find this key," the blonde stated desperately, wanting to escape the Chambre de Chasse before Hope and Kaiden too the Hollow's magic. Marcel sighed, his expression falling as he entered the room, "uh, Hope's a teenager with secrets. She knows good hiding places," the vampire spoke as he neared the blonde.

"You remember when this room used to be yours?" Marcel asked as he crouched beside Hope's pink rug, pulling it back to reveal the wooden floor underneath, "and I was a lovestruck idiot, writing you letters?" the vampire smiled up at Rebekah. Rebekah smiled softly in response, watching as Marcel pulled a piece of the floorboard up, "you hid them where Klaus wouldn't find them, but I would."

Marcel reached into the hidden space under the floor, pulling out the necklace Rebekah gave to Hope seven years ago with a key hanging on the end. "Thank God," Rebekah whispered in relief as she saw the key, instantly reaching out to take it from Marcel's hand. Marcel watched the blonde with a soft smile, a look of adoration in his eyes as he saw the soft smile on Rebekah's face.

"You know, I used to think I could choose when to love you," Marcel spoke up after a minute, drawing Rebekah's eyes back towards him, "you'd leave, and then I'd fall back into the arms of this city. Every time." Marcel frowned, shaking his head softly, "but that's not working anymore," the vampire revealed, "I love you, Rebekah. I always have and I always will," he told her firmly causing Rebekah's face to fall.
