It had been two days since the twins had accidentally killed two of New Orleans' best historians and subsequently triggered their werewolf gene's. It had been two days since the death of Josh and Ivy and four since the loss of Lisina. It had been one week since Elijah returned to the compound, and he and Klaus were still no closer. Hope and Kaiden did their best to avoid their uncle, unable to even look in his direction without feeling burning rage and grief.

Hope and Kaiden had spent the last two days trapped in their own guilt and sorrow, both of them pained with the knowledge that they'd killed two innocent men. It was a big weight for them to carry on their shoulders and though Klaus had tried his hardest to sympathise and help them, they all knew that the only person that would've been able to help move the twins through their heartache and guilt was their mother. Unfortunately, Thea's words of wisdom were no longer a luxury they had.

It was only when Bonnie Bennett showed up at the Mikaelson Compound that the twins managed to snap themselves out of their grief, even if for just a moment. After Thea's funeral a few months ago, the Bennett witch had returned to her life of travelling and helping new witches come into their power. She had spent some time travelling through North America, learning the way of the witches along the Caribbean Isle.

She was on her way back to Mystic Falls when she decided to drop in and see her niece and nephew. Hope and Kaiden had both been messaging her constantly, asking her if she knew of any possible way to return their mother back from the dead. And whilst Bonnie knew more than most about returning from the dead as she had done it once or twice herself, she didn't have the answers the twins so desperately wanted.

Bringing someone back from the dead was dark magic and it brought heavy consequences. Consequences that Bonnie didn't want to see her niece and nephew plagued with. Still, she had headed their pleas for help and had made a point of asking the witches she had met on her travels if they had any answers – and they had given her one, though she was certain it wasn't one the twins were going to like.

"When the Hollow possessed me years ago, she was able to use me to bring back one of her followers with our mixed power," Hope informed her aunt as she paced around the upstairs living room in the Mikaelson Compound. "Me and Kaiden have the Hollow's magic now. Two Mikaelson witches with the Hollow's added magic, surely we should be able to bring back our mom?" the eldest Mikaelson asked, raising an eyebrow at her aunt as she continued to pace.
