Klaus was stood on the balcony in his study, over-looking the streets of the French Quarter that he wasn't physically able to get to as a result of the magical barrier that trapped him inside the Compound. Above him, a vicious storm raged in the sky, blowing a harsh wind through the Compound signifying a very real sense of danger.

"Every last exit is sealed. If you're thinking about jumping, don't," Elijah spoke from behind the hybrid as he entered the room, "I already tried it. I landed in the world's most pretentious wine cellar." Klaus kept a blank expression as he turned to face his brother, "you sorted it by vintage," the hybrid replied causing Elijah to look back at him confusion, as if he didn't have a clue what Klaus was talking about.

Klaus frowned in response, his brows knitted together in confusion, "you don't remember, do you?" the original realised, "I thought Marcel was intent on retrieving your memories." Elijah sighed, "he was. He failed," the older Mikaelson replied with a tone of annoyance, "I still remember absolutely nothing, and Antoinette is dying," the original spoke with a desperate tone. "Is she? Right," Klaus mused, nodding mockingly, "yes, I'd forgotten."

Elijah glared at the hybrid as a result of his attitude, "what the hell are we doing here? What is this place?" the original asked, looking around his unfamiliar surroundings, "this is dangerous, you and I, here together." Klaus rolled his eyes as he took a step towards the original, "we're not actually here together, are we? Not physically, at least," the hybrid replied easily.

"It's called a Chambre de Chasse," Klaus revealed, informing Elijah who looked confused, "it's a magical mental prison designed to resemble our home," the hybrid explained. "But don't worry, there's always a way out...a game, or a riddle," Klaus continued with a tone of annoyance as Elijah looked at him curiously. "How do we solve this riddle?" the older Mikaelson inquired with a tone of curiosity.

Klaus sneered at his words, "we don't do anything," the hybrid retorted firmly, "we're square, you and I," he continued as he took another step closer towards Elijah. "You got Thea killed, and Antoinette will die because of me," Klaus smirked as Elijah's face fell, "I would hate to upset that delicate balance. So, I'm gonna find my way out, and you're on your own," the hybrid finished before storming out of the room, leaving Elijah staring after him with a troubled expression.

Klaus entered the courtyard, moving to look at the painted portraits of himself and Elijah witch had been slashed and drenched in blood when he suddenly heard a door close behind him. "Who's there?" the hybrid demanded, his tone warning and vicious, "show yourself!" Klaus yelled demandingly without turning.
