"Cosmos what is the plan for growing our company? We have a few propositions for you in case you don't have any ideas. Although you did promise to contribute, no?"
I lean forward in the seat of my plane as I starred directly into the lens of the computer screen. "I did promise that Johnson, yes I did." I confirm with fake enthusiasm. Him and his team smile on the screen at my response. "Excellent. We'll discuss-" "I beg your pardon?" He frowns as he brings his attention back to me. "Yes, I'm sorry?" He asks with a confused expression. "You did not give me a chance to finish, now. Did you?" I say. Slight anger is in my voice and he apologises once more as he leans back in the chair. Everyone else in his conference room gives me their full attention immediately, seeing as I am one of the main sources of their business. They absolutely live off of me.
This is going to be fun.
"Now, I did promise to contribute yet again for your company." I sighed. "Is there a problem?" Bill Johnson frowns; he can feel the heaviness of my words. Well, supposed heaviness. I for one don't feel any remorse for my actions. "I already had my lawyer break our contract." I informed. His serious expression turns into one of panic, and the same expression is read on each and every one of his employees in the room. "Excuse me?" He acts as if my words are unclear. "I had our contract broken. All it took was two seconds, really." I provoke. "And may I ask why you would do that?" He tries to remain calm.
"Because I have no interest in you or your company. I'm done letting people like you survive off of my skills. You doubt me when you're working for me? You're doubting yourself, and showing me you don't have confidence in me as a person. So don't blame me for holding up the mirror and forcing you to handle yourselves." He sighs as he stares at his table beneath him, and I hold back a forming smile. "Considering your revenue hasn't increased since I've joined, which, mind you was five months ago, I find any future promises you set untrustworthy. If you look at this logically, no increase in revenue results in my dividends remaining a minimum. And that is simply intolerable. I don't wish to be a stakeholder by being a shareholder in whatever mess you've positioned your company so, for that we are done. Take whatever investment you've put in me back because I haven't even noticed this so called 'large impact' you garanteed I would experience once being a part of your company. You and your people take care of yourself Bill, we are done. Don't expect a call anytime soon." I exit the tab before turning off the computer exhaustingly.
All of this time in the jet makes me lightheaded. I had returned back to Italy to talk future plans with the people of Valentino. I for one absolutely adore the company. It's strong, successful and not at all depriving. I received a call from Logan, informing me-very excitedly, may I add- that Garavani himself wished to speak to me. Who would I be to deny association with a company as large as his? Not to mention with their current status of popularity. Earlier last year I was offered to link with Versace, but I was currently too busy at the time to unite some sort of work with them. Over the last week I've dropped several small companies I've worked with for Valentino, and now that I have opened up more time for myself I can consider working with them for the same reasons I have agreed to work with Valentino. Versace is as popular as well, why not work for both?
And if I recall correctly, I received a call from the Chief Executive of Gucci around the same time. I've never realised how many great offers I've turned down in the previous months. I have been far too busy. I still wonder if not having a manager is for better or for worse. I'd rather handle myself but my work is simply overwhelming at some points. Right now, it's hectic.
