Chapter 9.2
I take my last breath giving off my last note of the song. Noah is standing a breath away from me. I hold his eyes as the note floats above us and fills the auditorium as the rest of the instruments quite.
And then total silence. Noah and his blue eyes hold me. The auditorium erupts in applause but all I can see is Noah. And then all I can feel are his lips. His smile. And before long the rest of the band is hugging the hell out of Noah and me. The tears fall and my arms wrap around his neck.
"You're absolutely breathtaking love." His breathing is labored, and it wasn't because of his performance. I'm in sweats and a plain t-shirt and that's the first thing he says to me. I really didn't want to be anywhere but in his arms.
