It was a perfect day for the short, just under two-hour road trip from Manhattan to Hudson Valley, in Upstate New York. Laurent was looking forward to seeing his old friend and mentor. He welcomed the diversion from the past several hours as well as the opportunity to reconnect with his friend, who was more like a father to him since his real beloved father had been deceased now for years.
