Laurent woke just a few hours after he and Larry had finally called it a night, or a morning as it turned out to be. He had mostly dozed rather than enjoy what he'd hoped would be a deep, restful sleep. He, after all, had his bunny back in his arms, and their lovemaking had been out of this world amazing, as usual. But at the moment, he only wished things were as simple as just having Larry back.
Instead, his mind had been a tidal wave of thoughts with concerns about things he had to do, to include what he was dreading to do, which was give his Chief a call, updating him about the rescue of Larry and Sofia. Though he was concerned about what that update would mean for Larry and yes, even Sofia, he was also concerned about what it would mean for him.
He looked over at his bedside clock. It was almost 9:30 a.m. The time alone made the day already surreal as he rarely ever slept in late, even on weekends, and it was Sunday morning. Admittedly, if the unresolved matters of his mission weren't a concern, he would gladly go against his normal routine and he'd relish spending half the day in bed with Larry.
He looked over at his bunny and smiled. Larry appeared to be still in deep sleep, and Laurent was pleased. He knew Larry could use the sleep and he didn't want to wake him. As gently as he could, Laurent pushed the comforter aside and quietly got up from the bed. He gave his long, lean, naked body a stretch and headed to the ensuite, closing the door behind him.
He relieved himself, took a quick shower, shaved, and completed his hygiene. Once finished, and since his closet and dressing area were on the other side of the ensuite, he was able to get dressed without having to come back to his bedroom to do it. After his shower, he dressed casually in a loose T-shirt, well-worn jeans, and casual slippers.

While he was at it, Laurent pulled out a similar outfit of sweat pants, a T-shirt, and he added a new, unopened package of boxer briefs and loose socks. He tipped to his bedroom. Larry was still sleeping. Laurent sat the folded items at the foot of the bed for when Larry woke, and he left the room, closing the door behind him.
On his way to his home office, where he intended to take care of some business and eventually call his Chief, Laurent headed towards his guest room. He gently knocked on the door.
"Si?" came Sofia's soft, accented voice.
"Good morning, Sofia," Laurent replied, through the door. "It's Laurent. I was just checking on you. Do you need anything?"
"Oh, good morning, Mr. Laurent. No, I'm fine. Thank you."
"How did you sleep?"
"Ohh, Mr. Laurent, very well. Thank you. This bed, very nice. I was very comfortable."
Laurent smiled. "Good. I'm glad. Well, don't think you have to get up. Larry's still asleep, so you sleep as long as you like. I'm going to be in my office for a while getting some things done. I'll order us brunch or lunch in an hour or so. I'll leave a bottle of water for you outside the door. Let me know if you need anything. Okay?"
