"It's rumored to smell differently to each person according to what attracts them." Hermione said answering the potion professor's question.

"And what is it you smell, Miss. Granger?" Professor Slughorn asked.

"Freshly mown grass, new parchment, and..." Hermione took another whiff and said, "and spearmint toothpaste." She suddenly had a moment of realization and couldn't help but look behind her at the red headed Weasley seated at the back of the classroom.

"Could I smell it too, Professor?" Y/N asked sending Hermione a look that said 'we need to talk.'

"Yes of course, Miss. Y/L/N."

Y/N took a big whiff of the potion's aroma and immediately a small smile graced her face.

"Would you mind sharing what you smell, Miss. Y/L/N?"

Y/N looked up at Professor Slughorn and nodded. "I smell stale firewhiskey, burnt firewood, and," she paused. "Cinnamon."
