Remus and his sister surprise their friends when they both come in the morning after a full moon

"Good morning, sis," Remus happily greeted as he noticed his sister finally waking up.

"Morning, Remi," Y/N groggily mumbled as she slowly sat up and stretched.

Looking over for the first time, Y/N's eyes grew as wide as saucers. Breathing heavily, she scrambled over taking her brother's face carefully in the palms of her hands.

"Remi, I-" Y/N's voice broke as she carefully examined the extent to which her brother's face was scathed.

"I did this."

Remus sighed before taking his sister's shaking hands in his warm ones.

"Listen Y/N, I'm alright. Look, I'm alive. That's a good thing, right?"

"Remus, I- I hurt you." Y/N's voice broke down a second time, as a multitude of white pearlescent tears flowed down her face.

"No, no, sis. Look. Look at me. I'm alright. See, I'm fine. I promise."

Y/N wrapped her arms around Remus tightly, not letting go until he spoke once more.

"Let's just go to James' house, alright? Does that sound okay?"

Looking up at him, Y/N sighed, but nodded. "Y-yeah."

"Alright, let's go then." Shakily standing up Y/N followed after her brother, still sniffling and feeling distraught about what happened.

At the Potter House

Ringing the doorbell, Remus and Y/N stood outside waiting patiently.

Upon answering the door, James Fleamont Potter let out a large gasp. "Guys, look who's here! It's Moony and Mini Moony!"

"Hey, Prongs," Remus quietly greeted, ushering his sister inside and coming inside himself.

"Hey, Remus! Y/N! How'd last night go?" Sirius being Sirius didn't notice the tense environment he just walked into.

"Remus? Y/N?" Lily came in holding a tray of ice tea. "Are you alright?"

Looking at the two with a more critical eye, Lily couldn't help but drop the tray immediately. Glass broke and ice tea splattered everywhere, yet nobody cared at the moment. One of their friends was hurt, and that mattered more than anything.

"Oh my gosh! Y/N! Your leg!"

The redhead quickly rushed over pushing all three boys away as she inspected the young girl's wound.

"How come you didn't say anything? Heck, how did I not notice?" Remus watched his sister with a sad expression.

Y/N couldn't help but choke as she quietly sobbed to herself. "I guess I didn't care about me. In the moment I just cared about you. When I- I saw your face, I- I didn't know what to do. I just knew that it was my fault."

James crossed the threshold over to Sirius, pulling him back and away so the two siblings could talk.

"I- I love you, Remi. I didn't want anything to happen to you. Much less something caused by me. I'm your sister, yet I couldn't even decipher that."

Remus slowly walked over, placing a comforting hand on his sister's shoulder. "Y/N, when you're a wolf you can't decipher anything. It's okay, I'm okay. It's not your fault, little one."

Y/N choked back a sob once more. "B-but, -"

"No, no buts. It's not your fault, Y/N. I love you more than anything in this world. You have me, and you can always count on me. I will never leave you. I love you, sister."

"I love you, too, Remi."
