•chapter forty-five•

addi's pov

i was almost in tears, but before i broke down in the middle of a party, i wanted to find kio

my friends didn't notice i was crying so i quickly told them i'd be right back and luckily, they didn't hear the pain in my voice

i went up the stairs that were in the room so i could have a better view of the room since it was packed with people

i was looking for kio and i saw him frantically looking around the room too, he went from person to person asking them something, maybe he's looking for me

i didn't know if i wanted to see him tho, he just kissed sydney. again.

i was angry and sad so i decided i should cool down before i talked to him about it

i was too late tho.

he saw me on the stairs and he started pushing through people to get to the stairs

he was in the middle of the room so i had time to leave if i wanted, cuz he was having difficulty pushing through all the people

as he was concentrated on moving people, i went down the stairs and went out the door, which wasn't too hard to get to since it was right by the stairs

before i went all the way out the room, i looked back and saw kio looking back up at the stairs with a confused/worried look. he definitely wanted to tell me something but i would probably slap him before he had a chance to speak

i felt my phone buzzing and knew it was kio, but i just powered it off completely without reading any of the texts

i left the room and instead of going back to my room, i decided to go out and get some fresh air

it was 11:30pm and all the creators were at the party, and most fans weren't out so the yard in the front of the hotel was empty

i walked out to one of the picnic tables and just sat down

i let out a deep breath then broke down and cried

i couldn't believe that kio would do that to me, again. especially after everything we've been through

"is anyone out here?" i heard a male voice say

i looked up and wiped my tears and turned my head

i saw a boy in the distance, he didn't see me tho

from the clothes he was wearing and the sound of his voice, i realized it was payton

maybe kio sent him out here to look for me

i didn't know if u should tell him i was out here, or hide

but being the petty person i am, i hid

i tip toed around to a bush and ducked down

luckily, he didn't see or hear me

i saw him take out his phone and call someone

i obviously started ease-dropping

"sorry man, i can't find her"

who is he talking too, and am i "her"?

"no dude, why did you even do that!" 

i was a bit startled by how he yelled, but still curious to who he was talking too

"kio, you gotta find her and explain yourself, i'm not doing it for you"

ok, it's definitely about me

"dude i'd me mad too if i was her, just explain. i gotta go"

he hung up and went back into the hotel

i sighed deeply and then stood up as soon as i knew he was gone

i decided to man up and go talk to kio

i started walking over to the entrance until a truck pulled up

i didn't think anything of it since it was a hotel so it's probably just a guest

i didn't look at the face in the truck, but i was close enough to hear it

"i knew you'd be here babygirl"

i completely froze, that voice haunts me.

ahahha cliffhangerish chapter lol
