Part Forty-Eight

"She's here!" Meghan yelled.

"Okay..." Joe huffed. "Let's do this."

"What's her name again?" David asked, fixing his beanie.

"Kayla White."

Zoe opened the door and a pale girl with dark hair stood there.

"Hi." She smiled, rubbing her stomach, which was round.

"Kayla, hi." Joe said. "Can I, uh, can I take your bags?"

"No, that's okay, I'll-"

She was the interrupted by Tyler and Alfie grabbing her bags from her and placing them by the wall.

"You're going to have to stay here for a few days because that's how much we're staying for." Joe explained.

"Okay, that's fine. My cousin comes back from Orlando tomorrow so I can stay with her." Kayla smiled.

"Yeah, Chloe is Joe's girlfriend so don't get any ideas with him." Alfie laughed.

"Alfie!" Joe scolded.

"I'm just saying."

"Zoe is Alfie's fiancé so don't get any ideas with him." Joe snapped.

"Calm down. I have a boyfriend." Kayla giggled.

"Then why don't you stay with him?" Joey narrowed his eyes.

"Joey." I warned.

He shrugged and put a snapback on.

"Um, him and I are fighting over her."

"It-It's a girl?" Joe asked, a smile tugging onto his lips.

"Yeah, sorry. I didn't want to spoil her gender to you but it just slipped out." Kayla chuckled.

My phone started to vibrate in my pocket. When I picked it up and saw it was from Niall, I excused myself amd answered the phone in the kitchen.

"Hey, Niall. Did you get any information about the song?"

"Yeah, they said that they thought it was for them because Barry put it in their dressing room." I heard the fimiliar Irish accent.

"Barry?"

"Long story." Niall chuckled.

"Oh." I laughed.

"The boys said that they're gonna apogize in their next interview."

"Okay, good." I sighed.

"So, uh, how's-how's Melanie?" Niall awkwardly brought up.

"Good?" I asked. "Her and Troye stayed behind while I visited California with Joe and Zoe."

"You're in California?" Niall gasped. "So are the boys! Their planning their setlist and stuff for their opening act."

"Who's their opening act?" I asked.

"Some band I never heard of named Emotional Rose." Niall said. "I guess they think that they're punk rock."

"Let me guess, it's a girl band?" I asked, giggling.

"Mostly. There's five people but there's a guy in there somewhere." Niall laughed.

"Oh okay, so where is your next stop?" I asked.

"Jakarta in Indonesia." Niall said. "Then we're going home for Christmas and then started up again in South Africa in the new year."

"Oh. Hurry up and get to America." I laughed.

"We're trying." Niall chuckled.

"Alright, I have to go. Bye Niall."

"Bye."

I walked back into the living room where Kayla and Joe were sitting on the small couch, David, Meghan, and Joey were on the long couch, and Tyler was on the small arm chair.

That left Zoe, Alfie and I to sit on the floor and lean our backs on the couch.

"So," Kayla laughed. "You must be pretty lucky to be Joe's girlfriend."

"Very." I smiled, which was obviously fake.

"Rawr, cat fight." Joey mumbled, petting the small husky in his hand.

"Very." I muttered again, glaring at her.

"Am I gonna be interrupting anything you guys do?" Kayla asked.

"Yes." Joey mumbled quietly, rolling his eyes.

"No, it's fine. Right Chloe?" Joe asked.

"No, it's not." I snapped, punching Kayla in the face.
