Part Sixty-Seven

Chloe's POV

"What?" I asked. "A-Are you two together?"

"Hell no." Joe shook his head. "After Kayla had this little guy... She didn't want him. She was gonna put him up for adoption but," He sighed and smiled at the baby in his arms. "I couldn't just let him go..."

"Aw." Alfie muttered. "Where is Kayla now?"

"I don't know." Joe shrugged. "She said she was moving to like Colorado or something."

"Uh, it was actually New Jersey. I don't know where you got Colorado from." Zoe laughed.

"Oh." Joe looked down.

"This doesn't change anything..." Connor spoke up.

"Connor, I-"

"No! You cheated on Joe! Who the fuck does that?"

"But-"

"And then you still hang out with Alfie after you guys hooked up."

"But-"

"And-"

"Stop fucking interrupting me!" I screamed at him, making him close his mouth and slouch down. "I already told you guys that it was an accident! We were all drunk, and you're going to be mad at me for my mistakes?" I rolled my eyes. "Alfie and I both feel terrible about what we did wen we were drunk, we didn't even speak to each other for weeks. We have no feelings for each other at all! So I don't need you reminding what I did every damn second!"

Everyone stared at me wide eyed before Joe looked down at the baby in his arms and chuckled. "I don't need you saying those words. You got that, Maddie?"

I smiled at the beautiful scene in front of me that was interrupted by Connor scoffing and getting up, leaving Troye.

Once the door was completely shut, Troye jumped from the bed he was on to the bed I was on.

"I missed you." Troye mumbled, squeezing my sides as he hugged me.

"I missed you, too."

"I feel so fucking stupid and sorry that I didn't go on tour with you. How was it?"

"Boring. One time, my bus broke down in the middle of nowhere, cliche I know. Of course, it was the day Niall wanted to stay with me to protect me from the monsters, whatever that means." I laughed. "It was so hot outside."

"I bet it was hot inside, too." Troye giggled, earning a hit on the shoulder from Zoe.

"I'm glad the whole gang's back together." Alfie laughed, joining our hug.

Zoe moved uncomfortably before wriggling out of the geoup hug.

"Zoe!" Alfie groaned, following her out the door.

"Yeah, I better catch up with Connor too. You know how gay boyfriends are. They're so high maintenanced." Troye joked, giving me a small hug and walking out, leaving me, Joe, and I guess Maddie, alone in the room.

"C-Can I, Can I hold her?" I asked cautiously.

Joe nodded before pulling Maddie's blanket up and handing her to me.

"Do your fans know that you're a dad yet?"

"No, but I think some of them think. When I was waiting in the waiting room, waiting for Maddie to be delivered, I looked for some baby names. I narrowed down to Mason, Luke, Brandon for boys, and Crystal, Maddie, and Emma for girls."

"Emma as in Emma Lee?" I laughed.

"Yeah." Joe nodded.

"Why'd you pick Maddie?" I asked, staring down at Maddie's blue eyes.

"When I saw her, it just seemed like it fit her." Joe stared at Maddie who was in my arms.

"When was she born?"

"A month ago. Pretty early but she was mature." Joe smiled, softly rubbing Maddie's head.

"She's pretty." I smiled down at her.

"Yeah." Joe smiled. "So are you."

He looked at me and just went in for it. Our lips connected and I tried to concentrate on the kiss while holding Maddie in my arms.

Once he pulled away, I realized that I had butterflies in my stomach.

"I love you." He mumbled, kissing my cheek and taking Maddie back.

"I love you, too."
