Hiccstrid One Shots

    It's been over a year since the dragons left, and the riders were on their way to Berserker Island to visit Heather and Dagur.
    "Ooh I wonder if either of them have babies!" Fishlegs squealed which was met by an eye roll from his girlfriend.
    "I'm amazed these two don't," said Snotlout and pointed at Hiccup and Astrid.  They looked at him as if he was crazy, which of course he was.
    "Wow Snotlout was right about something for once," Hiccup whispered subtly to his wife and she had to stifle a laugh.  They found out a few days ago, that they were indeed expecting.  However, they decided to keep it quiet for a little while.  They wanted to tell their families first, as well as Heather and Dagur.
    "I feel kind of bad that we're telling Heather and Dagur but not the others," Astrid said softly.
    "We were already going to see them before we knew and who knows when we'll see them again so we really don't have another opportunity to tell them.  I mean we'd rather tell our families first but it just isn't working out timing wise."  She nodded, understanding his reasoning.
    "There it is!" Tuffnut yelled and pointed at the island in the distance.  The others joined him at the rails and couldn't help smiling as they got closer to their friends.  The fifteen minutes it took to pull into the harbor seemed to take forever but finally they were there.
    "Look who finally stopped by!" Heather said excitedly as all the riders were reunited.  "So how's my power couple?"
    "We're fine," Hiccup tried to get out as he was being crushed by Dagur.  "Please let me breathe."  Dagur dropped him and he took a deep breath.
    "Don't break my husband please," Astrid said, but that didn't stop her from laughing at Hiccup, still trying to catch his breath.
    "Wait what?!  When were you planning on telling me you got married?!" Heather demanded, though you could tell she was excited.  Astrid looked around to make sure none of the other riders were nearby.
    "When we told you I was pregnant," she replied with a smile.  Heather screamed and poor Hiccup was being squeezed to death by Dagur again.  "You are the first to know.  We haven't told the others or our parents yet, but we might not see you again for awhile so we wanted to tell you guys while we're here."
    "I'm so happy for you guys, how far along are you?" Heather asked excitedly.
    "Only a month.  I wouldn't even have known if it wasn't for those check-ups every other month.  I thought it was pointless since we have only been married for six months but apparently not."
    "Come on, I'll take you to your hut."  And with that the two girls headed to the house while Hiccup and Dagur went to find where the rest of the gang had wandered off to.  They talked casually on their way but were soon interrupted.
    "Well hello there," came a voice from behind them.
    "Leave her alone Zac," Heather said angrily.
    "Just because you rejected me doesn't mean she will," Zac replied and walked over toward Astrid.  "What do you say we go for a stroll gorgeous?"  Astrid fought back rolling her eyes, but she knew just what to say to make him leave her alone.
    "Great, I'll go get my husband," she said and smiled when his jaw dropped.
    "Y-your husband?" He stammered nervously.
    "You may have heard of him.  Chief of Berk, defeated Drago Bludvist and Grimmel the Grisly, oh and of course the tamer of the Night Fury."  When he heard that, Zac ran away as fast as possible.
    "Nicely done," Heather said with a laugh.
    "Snotlout gave me years of practice," Astrid said and shook her head, chuckling to herself. "It's probably a good thing Hiccup wasn't here, he would've have ripped Zac to shreds."
    "Don't you like having a protective husband?" Heather teased.
    "Yes, but he's become even more protective since we found out about the baby."  She rested a hand on her stomach thoughtfully.  "But I wouldn't change a thing, and it's nice to know that I'm permanently taken now."
    Heather just laughed at that.  "Oh please, you've been permanently taken for years."

    I really need to right more one shots with Heather and Astrid in it.  I love their friendship so much.  I hope you guys are staying safe and enjoying your social distancing as much as possible.  Thank you so much for 17K, I honestly can't even comprehend that.  Have a blessed week and I'll see you soon😀
