Author's POV:
In one village of earthbenders lived a woman. Her name was Tai Chin. She was very kind and good person so she didn't practice her earthbender skills for defending or attacking, she didn't find it useful to hurt people. That could have become a big mistake for her when fire nation attacked her village. She would be dead if not one man from firebenders troops. His name was Shoto Roki (Sounds familiar?). Even though he was in fighting corps he had never hurt someone. He immediately fell in love with Tai and protected her from other soldiers. After 4 years Tai gave birth to a daughter. They decided to name her Y/N. Though her parents were different benders she inherited her father's element. Honestly, Tai and Shoto weren't very happy with that because the two knew how fire was destroying and it can cause a lot of problems, but they tried to raise her good, kind and outgoing person. Well they did a great job because that girl become very good person like her parents. She helped her parents, relatives and even strangers. If someone asked her for something she will help them without hesitation.

Now the girl was living in Ba Sing Se. She lived in a small house, in a quite neighborhood. Near her were only 2 small shops and one tea shop. But she liked it very much.

Y/N's POV:

Early in the morning I was woken up by the bright sun which started to be seen from the window. I got up, went to wash my face, made myself a breakfast. I understood that I have to go to the shop because soon I won't have something to eat. My parent send me some money because I don't work, I am studying.

My parents continued living in a small village near the town. There they have one small shop and an extra small house where my mom heal people and let them stay there for some time. I decided to leave and went to Ba Sing Se, because I must study and go to school there. Also, after my leaving my parent had two children. They were twins. First one is Cody another one is Zack. Maybe some teenagers would be furious on my place, but I am happy for them and I like kids. Of course after that we started to met more rarely but I think that soon it will change.

I dressed up and went to the shop. In 10 minutes I was already in the shop. I quickly grabbed everything I needed, payed for it and went towards my house.

The weather was very good today. It was boiling hot and the sun was blinding me so I had to look at the ground to see something. Suddenly, I bumped into someone. I was going to apologize but the man who bumped into me did it first. It was a tall young man around 16 maybe older with short brown hair and foreign clothes. He fixed his clothes a bit and offered me his help with bringing the basket of food to my house. At first, I was trying to refuse his offer but he insisted on helping me.

While walking I found out his name was Jet and he came to Ba Sing Se to start a new life because his old village was destroyed by fire nation. We were talking, asking each other questions. After some time he asked me what I am thinking about firebenders.
Usually I didn't tell stranger or even friends that I am a firebender and it wasn't an exception. Though he looked kind and friendly I decided not to take a risk that time. I said that my mom was a earthbender, my father was firebender and I hadn't inherited their elements. I can say by the look on his face that he didn't have a high opinion of fire nation.
- Has your father ever threatened you? Was he beating you, your mother? Has he forced you to do something?  
-What? No, of course. My dad is very kind and good person. When fire soldiers attacked our village he saved my mom.
- But he is a firebender.
-And what? Not all firebenders are cruel and murderer. There are someone who is good. A lot of firebenders were forced to be in army and fight with other people. Fire nation doesn't accept refusing. If you will disobey, they will kill you or you will spend your life in prison.
After my words he looked quickly in my eyes and then turned away.
- Maybe you are right, maybe not.
At the end of our small talk we were already at my house's doors. We came in and I pointed him where to put products. Maybe he isn't fan of fire nation but he is kinda sweet, so I decided to offer him a launch.
