Author's POV:

You were sitting on the couch, waiting for your boyfriend to come back from work. Today was Zuko's birthday and you wanted to make it a special day. You had two presents for him and you were sure that he will like them.

Delicious dinner was already waiting Zuko on the kitchen table. Along with a small present you had some big news for Zuko. You were 2 weeks pregnant!
This made you slightly nervous, you knew that he wouldn't be mad, but what if he couldn't handle the responsibility?

You heard the sound of the opening door and saw Zuko, who was tiredly looking down.

"Zuko!" You greeted him, pulling in a tight hug.

"Babe what are you doing up so late at night? You should have already been sleeping." He hugged back and kissed your forehead.

"It is your birthday, so I wanted to wait for you and give you my presents." You smiled, leading him to the kitchen.

He gave you a big smile and kissed your forehead again.

~after an hour~

You two finished your dinner and now were sitting on the couch, cuddling with each other. You decided that it was the perfect time for your presents. You gave him a big box with a cute bow on the center.
"Y/N you didn't have to..." He said, giving you a small smile, you never failed to make him happy and feel loved.

"But I did. Now open it!"

Zuko unwrapped the first present quickly. He saw a lot of different things in the box. There were a lot of tasty things and in the bottom there was a scroll. He slowly unrolled it and saw a beautiful drawing of him when he was a kid and his mother. He used to look at this scroll in his childhood when he missed his mom, it always helped him to feel less lonely.

"Where did you get it? I thought that it was burned by my father."

"Actually, no it wasn't. I found it here, in the mansion, when i was cleaning the attic. I thought that you would like to see it again."

The male quickly embraced you, burying his face in the crook of your neck.

"This is amazing, thank you, darling. You are the best."

"There is another one present, silly!" you chuckled softly and handed him another little box. He unwrapped it and revealed a... pregnancy test?

"Um... babe what is it? Why is here two stripes. Is that some kind of a thermometer?" He looked up at you confused and then looked at the present again. You didn't even know what to say. How he couldn't know or understand what is it. You thought that it would be easier, but now you have to hint him somehow that you were pregnant.

"Mm... well... it is a pregnancy test... you know... babies and everything."

"Sorry i don't unders... OH-oh my god, are you...?" He finally understood the circumstance, looking down at your stomach and then jumping on you. He hugged you tightly and you keep laughing slightly.

"Am i going to be a father, Y/N?" You nodded and kissed his head.

You continued to cuddle him, enjoying his warmth, before you heard him sniffle quietly on your shoulder. You rubbed his back as you felt your shoulder and neck become wet.

"Zuko...?" You said, slowly pulling away to see tears running down his face.

"What if i turn out like my father? What if i hurt my child?" Zuko asked quietly, looking down at your stomach.
