Snap Wexley shifted uncomfortably in his First Order colonels uniform as he paced nervously along the deck of the troop transport.

"Why did I have to do this again?" he asked, turning to Rose and Connix.

Rose looked up from the cockpit console and smiled, "It's your beard, Snap. Looks very authoritative."

"You happy with your lines?" Connix asked, leaning back against the wall.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Finn had me up practicing half the night."

"Then you're gonna do just fine," Rose said.

"Maybe practice on your tone," Connix offered, "Right now you're not coming off confident or arrogant enough. Officers tend to be harsh as well."

"Ok: confident, arrogant and harsh," he said, running his hand down his face, "I can do this."

Rose and Connix exchanged a smile.

"Transmission received!" Rose said, "Everyone strap into something for entry into the atmosphere!"

They sat, buckling themselves into their seats. Connix grinned at Rose as the ship juddered and Snap closed his eyes, taking long, noisy breaths in and out.

"We're going in," he said more to himself than anyone else.
