The repairs on the various ships were well underway.

"How long do you think she'll be?" Poe asked Finn as they stared out of a viewport.

"I don't know. The force doesn't really have an exact science to it."

"It's been hours now."

"She'll be back."

Poe nodded looking down at BB-8, "Then we'll wait as long as it takes."

They stood in silence.

"What was that monolith thing?" Finn asked.

"I have no idea."

"Me either."

"Why would a monolith have lightning in it?"

"Have you ever been inside a magic force monolith that can appear out of nowhere?"

Poe considered, "Not personally."

A pause.

Finn sighed, "Maybe all monoliths are full of lightning."

"We'll ask Rey."

"Good plan."

"Poe, Rey's X-Wing has just appeared on our scanners," Connix said over the com.

They exchanged a look.

"Signal for her to head to the landing bay," he said as they ran there just in time to see her climbing down from her ship.

BB-8 reached her first as she patted his sides and checked his antenna.

She stood and looked at Finn and Poe. A wave of happiness washed over her as she pressed her lips downwards so that she didn't burst into tears. Finn's face softened as they stepped closer and embraced.

All three of them clung to each other, their eyes glassy as their arms laced around the other's shoulders and backs.

None of them could say how long they stood there surrounded by what remained of their fleet.
