Chapter 51

A familiar Y-Wing landed in the cruiser landing bay.

Poe halted halfway down the ladder to his X-Wing, "Zorii."

Jumping down he ran towards them, banging excitedly on the side of the ship.

The canopy moved back and Zorii leant over the side looking at the outer hull, "Hands off Dameron!"

"Sorry," he said beaming and holding his hands over his head, "I cannot express how happy I am to see you."

"I never had you down as sentimental."

"Hey ha!" Babu Frick said from beside her.

"Hi Babu," Poe said, "It's been far too long."

She got out of her ship shaking her head, the golden plating on her head catching the light, "Well some of us are still smuggling for the good guys, not leading them...General..."

"Shouldn't you salute me when you say that?"

Babu Frick rambled incoherently, pointing behind him.

A cone shaped droid appeared, "H-Hello."

"Who's the new addition?" Poe asked.

"This is D-O," Zorii said picking up Babu and the droid and carefully placing them on the floor.

Babu looked around, talking cheerfully as D-O starting rolling away on his single wheel.

"Isn't he...small for a droid," Poe observed.

BB-8 moved towards them and the two droids regarded each other.

"Babu chose him," Zorii explained before lowering her voice, "I get a feeling he liked having someone else closer to his height on the crew."

D-O started to circle BB-8, who remained still as his head spun around to follow him.

"Oh this is a crew," Poe said, "Don't you need more beings for it to be considered a crew?"

Zorii lowered the eye visor on her helmet and glared at him, "You're not making me feel appreciated or valued."

"Sorry: you are all very welcome and the droid is...great...not ridiculously...tiny in anyway."

"Poe..." Zorii said raising her eyebrow.

"Oh damn...I've got to go...do some General stuff," he said jogging to the exit, "It's so great that you're here and I am looking forward to talking more later."

"G-goodbye," D-O said as BB-8 followed him out.
