Rey let herself drop and force pushed them down a side passage. She pulled Chewie under the water as the fire of the explosion raged above them.

Once it had passed they both rose and gasped for air before half swimming to the nearest ledge.

"Are you ok?" she asked.

Chewie nodded, reaching for his bowcaster that had been swept along with the blast.

"We need to get to the Falcon," Rey said.

They ducked and half ran through the various corridors and collapsed rooms until they reached the flat platform. Throwing themselves onto the ship, they took off within a minute.

The relief at their narrow escape was tangible as Chewie slumped in his chair, a hand on his side.

"You're hurt," Rey said.

He grumbled, shrugging his shoulders.

"Can I look?"

The wookiee lifted his arm and she parted the hair. He whimpered but let her examine it.

"It's just a glancing blow."

He shook his head, lowering his arm and murmuring.

They both sat back, staring out of the viewport.

"I'm sorry that he did that to you."

Chewie let out a quiet burr.

"Not the blaster hit...holding you like that."

He held her gaze and made a deep rumble.

"No...he isn't Ben anymore..."
