"You Okay?" The man asked approaching me

"SAM?"I breathed, still unable to digest what had just happened, Sam? What was he doing here, how did he know Fernando was here, everything made absolutely no sense,

"Sam!" I uttered one more time, hot tears leaving my eyes Washing away the little bit of blood splattered on my face,
"You're safe now pumpkin it's okay" he said pulling me into his chest as I sobbed, my throat painful from being strangled by the now dead maniac.

"It's okay pumpkin everything is okay,"he kept saying trying to soothe me.
"Bu,,B,,B,,, But how, I, I need to go wash off"
"Pumpkin I, I think it's time we talked."
I had nothing to say, all I could do was to walk out of the room and go and take a warm shower and once again hope I was dreaming, things were getting crazy, nothing made sense anymore, how could Sam be the man behind the pistol? How could Jake be on a manhunt to make all my troubles disappear?

Desperate for some answers, I quickly got out of the shower, got into a fresh pair of pyjamas, put on my night gown and decided to join Sam in the living room, also feeling a bit hungry too,,(okay fine, I could eat an elephant, this hormones worked up quite an appetite.)
I walked into the living room area to find dead Fernando's body Gone, the floor and the glass wall absolutely spotless and David and an unknown man living the apartment.

"Was that Dave?? How do you know Dave? What the hell is going on here?"
"Pumpkin take a seat we need to talk."
As interested as I was to listen to Sam I was still very hungry so I walked into the kitchen to make a tuna Sandwich. one would think I would despise food after all that I've been through but hey, baby's gotta eat.

After preparing the food I went back to the living room and took a seat next to Sam.

" you alright?"

"I am Fine Sam and very eager to know what is going on."
"Huh!, Sam sighed."It started a few months back, when you were still receiving threats from those men. He approached me, JAKE, he came to Maria and I, said he felt like things were getting out of control, told us you were in danger and we would also be if you kept staying with us. He took us to the beach house, and took you to live with him, I couldn't sit back without knowing what was going on with you , weather you were safe or not, I had to do something, had to help so I approached him some time later, told him I cared for you and I wanted to protect you as much as he did, that's when he told me about the whole plan, his plan to avenge all the times those douchebags tortured you Nelly. Everything that man does he does it for you, he broke all boundaries to ensure you are safe.

He asked me to keep an eye on you, he knew that once he attacked the Mexicans you, both of you weren't safe anymore, and you would be in more danger if he was still with you, so he decided to leave you, asked me to keep an eye on you,

"He Loves you, the man practically lives for you, everyday he asks about you,"
"Did you tell him,, you know about,,,"
"Your pregnancy?? No, I figured it was a private matter."

"But why do it? Why kill people? I took care of it, paid them their money,"

"You don't understand Nelly, it's more than that, this matter is actually very personal,"

"How? What is going on Sam?"
"I've told you all I know pumpkin,thats all I know." Sam Said his eyes facing the floor as if he was hiding something, I could feel he was hiding something, something that I would find out, but now I had to let it go, I had a lot to digest already.

Like Missing Jake I missed him so much, especially now that I carried a part of him with me, but why couldn't he just include me in his plans? Why let me suffer such heartbreak?I still hated him for Making me suffer like that but I wanted to see him, hear his voice, feel his touch, get lost in his scent.

"Is, is he coming back? When is he coming back Sam?"

"I really don't know pumpkin, my sole purpose is to ensure your safety, and the only details I have are on your well-being."

"But but what about Maria? Why are you risking your life for me don't you have to live for her?"
"The beach house is under heavy security, Mi Amore is more safe than you will ever be, people like us, we are invisible, we are not easy targets, but you on the other hand."

"I guess your right." I said moving in closer to give Sam a hug, "I love you Sam"I whispered.buring my head into his chest." I love you too my baby, my pumpkin." He said wrapping his arms around me.

Author 'sPOV................

"Is she okay? Goddmmit I don't want to hear anything else I want you to tell me she is safe and that Son of a Bitch is no longer breathing." Jake slammed his phone on his desk in frustration anxious to hear that Nelly was okay, he had heard a few hours ago that Fernando managed to get into her apartment.

He wanted to go there and fulfill his wish,his one desire ever since all this mess began to kill Fernando, watch him beg for his life watch the life live his eyes, but unfortunately he could not, so he sent Dave instead.

"Is is she okay?"(unknown asks)
"I don't know we are sitting here aren't we? She wouldn't be in this fucking mess if you had some bloody brains, if anything happens her, I swear" Jake threatened the man sitting across him. And the man could do nothing but to face the ground in embarrassment of his actions.

"Come on, we leave tomorrow, I can't take this shit anymore. I need to be with her, I need to see her, I need her close to me, now that all this is over and all the threats Have been neutralized I can finally be with her, without any fears."

" Nothing will happen Nelly, nothing will happen, I am sorry I left you like that, I swear I am going to make it right, I will make it right sweetheart." Jake Said and immediately he received a phone call from Dave giving him all the details, telling him Nellisa was safe.

"Get your stuff" was all he said to the man oh so eager to hear about Nellisa's whereabouts.
