The One She Dreaded to see

Its been three months now, Jake was supposed to be back in New York, but his plane had some mechanical problems which took a while to fix. He actually took the opportunity to start a business over there,an agency which would recruit Clients for Heandrason Constructions. Everyday, he thought about Nellisa, not a day would go by without him looking at her pictures or attempting to call her, he was so worried he did not want Nellisa to move on with another person and end up forgetting about him, that would kill him. He had the opportunity to speak to her through business connections but he did not want to do it, he wanted their first conversation to be about their relationship, because with work he would just sound Cold and serious, whereas he was dying inside. Three months is a lot. A lot of weeks,a lot of days, a lot of hours, minutes, seconds, just a lot of time away from the one he loved and the distance was making things worse, plus this person that he had to live with for three whole months, he despised him but had grown to somehow understand the cause for his actions.

Nellisa on the other hand, decided it was unsafe to be pregnant and living alone, so she asked Sam and Maria to move in with her, it was easier because Maria helped her a lot with the house chores and Sam drove her around, scared that driving was not safe for a pregnant woman, it was nice really, she had that perfect Family with the two people who have shown her nothing but love ever since they knew her. And she had the most perfect craziest best Friend who has been forcing her into baby shopping everyday ever since she found out about the pregnancy.
With all these amazing people in her life and also being CEO in Heandrason Constructions, Nelly didn't find her self thinking about Jake so much anymore, her work took up most of her time. The board members had decided to appoint her as acting CEO because she worked closest with Jake and knew personally all the clients.

"HOORAYYY"

"Blow out the candles, I want to have cake already"Jessica impatiently jumped up and down

"no one is getting any Cake, not before I get my preziesss," I said intentionally trying to tick her off her because I knew just how much she loved cake, we did get into the cake addiction together.

She pouted in annoyance, while handing me my gift which I was happy to receive, only to be disappointed seeing that the paper bag contained more Baby Clothing and toys,, I swear she is more in love with this baby than I am.

"But on a serious note though, I would really like to thank you guys, for being here today, for being here everyday, for being with me through the toughest times of my life, Maria, Sam, I love you guys more than a child loves his parents, the love I have for you can't compare to anything, you guys are the best thing that has ever happened in my life,
(I said a tear dropping from my eyes, while Maria's eyes glowed from holding back tears.)
and to you my crazy best friend, My Jess, you came into my life and you brought nothing but light and Joy...." I could not speak as tears began falling out of my eyes, and they all gave me a nice warm hug. I've never had a birthday before, at least not one filled with so much love.

The Door bell rung, and Jessica excitedly told me to go open the door.

"GOSH Jess I hope, you did not order another baby cott, I am only having one child, I am not giving Birth the whole of America, and I don't think that its Fair you bought baby things as my birthday Gift." I mumbled all the way to the door. And ignorantly opened it wide.

"Happy Birthday Nelly, you didn't think I'd miss it did you?"

I screamed in shock and immediately shut the door, returning back to the party as if nothing had happened, as if right there right then my brain immediately erased the image I just saw.
