Nelly s Pov.

"Jake!! You'd better get a move on if you want to make it to the airport in time for our flight today and don't forget we need to go by the flower store first." I tried to be gentle because I knew how sensitive today is for Jake, but I feel like he is just coming up with delay tactics so that we don't actually end up going to the cemetery to support Jess and of course pay our respects to her sister who so happens to be his late wife Ariana.

"Why are you worried about flights when you know very well that we have a private jet waiting just for the both of us"

"Well your private jet does not change the fact that we are late now, and Jessica will have to spend half of her life thinking that no one genuinely cares about her."

"I'm sorry sweetheart I had somethings I had to finalize with Dave before leaving."

"I understand baby I'm so sorry for being such a pushy nag about this whole thing, I just feel like Jess needs us, I mean you've been doing this with her all this years and deep down I feel like you still need a little bit of closure."I hesitated to say those last words but someone had to say it, I don't want Jake to wake up one day and realize that he misses her, I'm not being insecure or anything but weird things happen to people who don't get the closure they deserve.

He looked at me like he wanted to say something but instead he placed a light feather kiss on my cheek pulling the car out of the driveway we drove past the flower shop and he got a bouquet of tulips. Then we drove in silence to the cemetery the car pulled in and we got out, he took my hand and walked us up to the tomb that he was very familiar with. We got there and there was no Jessica, just a fresh bouquet of the exact same flowers we had brought.

I felt my heart sink but didn't say anything as I didn't want to bother Jake, he looked sad as it was, he placed the flowers right next to those ones and he silently stared at the tomb.

"Jake?" I heard a familiar voice call out from behind me, I quickly turned around to see Jessica, she looked so pale and exhausted and my heart sunk at the sight, her hair was let down lose, she wore a simple vest with black leggings and simple flats, a grey sholl covering her shoulders her face was free of any make up even simple lip gloss highlighting even more the exhaustion on her face.

"What are you guys? Shouldn't you be on honeymoon?" I looked at her and opened my mouth to speak but I couldn't come up with anything, she walked up to me and threw her arms around me, that was the most needy hug she ever gave me, she did not cry, she just held on tightly burying her head in my neck.

She pulled out and looked at me

"I,,, I..."

"You didn't think we were going to let you go through this alone did you?" I asked and she kept shifting gazes looked at Jake who hasn't turned around to look at us till now.

"Nelly, I.."

"We would never abandon you." I told her, holding her face in my hands it hurt to see her in that state, that is a side to her that most people don't see often because she is usually the bubbly loud mouth who always brightens up everyone's day. But today she was this broken grey soul that made me feel so helpless.

Honestly I think she wouldn't be this miserable if she had Dave by her side, I noticed them avoiding each other all night last night. She claims to be fine and over him but I can tell it's killing her on the inside.

She walks up to Jake and stands besides him in silence.

"I thought you were gone already." He said speaking for the first time since we got there.

"I was actually. I just realized that I had nowhere to go and nothing to do for the day so I came back to spend more time here." She replied

They were quiet again for some time then he pulled her into a side hug, and she settled comfortably into his side. She stuck her hand out and I knew that she was gesturing I take her had. I did and the three of us stood in silence, all of us actually smiling and I knew everything was okay.

We went to the ice cream shop to lift spirits there we sat laughing while recalling yesterday's events. Jess looked better and Jake looked happier.

"Thank you for making me do this sweetheart, I actually feel so much better, like I have officially turned the page." He said as we drove off to the airport, we had already packed our suitcases

I smiled at him not really knowing what to say. He intertwined our fingers and off we were.

So guys this is actually the end of this book. I don't think there will be any Epilogue but I am already working on the exclusive on Dave and Jessica, it's titled Keeping Dave and you may find it on my profile.

I want to thank you all for the support you have shown me, I know how hard it is comitting to an incomplete book because you have to wait for updates. Thank you for being patient with me even though I sucked at updating.

I know this is not the ideal ending but y'all know that after the storms have settled the story becomes less interesting, I know because sometimes I just stop reading a novel because now the climax has come to a calm.

I love you guys all so much and I am grateful for your support.

P.S if you have been reading this story and have not pressed on the Golden Starr kindly go back to chapter one and start raining votes on your girl, she deserves it for having the courage to write this unplanned error filled baby (lol)

Thank you.
