Jaemin drove for what felt forever until he reached his parent's house. When he finally got there, he parked his car and got out.
"I keep forgetting how big this is," he mumbled, looking at the mansion in front of him.
As he walked closer, he could hear the music being played, and his parents standing outside, greeting everyone. It was about 7 or so, so the party was just starting.
"Hello," Jaemin greeted, bowing to his parents.
His mother engulfed him in a hug while his father shook his hand.
"How are you?" his mom asked, still holding onto his arm.
She was always the caring and kind woman he had always know. He gave her a wide smile.
"I'm doing okay. How are you?"
"I'm better now that you're here," his mother smiled at her son. "Let's go inside."
The family walked inside, greeting some other guests. Of course, Jaemin had to get introduced to everyone as well.
"This is my son, Jaemin."
"My son, Jaemin."
That's all he really heard. Truth be told, he was barely listening to the conversations his parents were having.
"So Jaemin," a woman, about his mom's age, asked him. "What are you doing now?"
"I-" but before he could reply, his father interrupted him.
"He isn't doing anything at the moment, but once I retire, he'll take over my business."
Jaemin's eyes widened. He didn't know he would be the next person to take over, but at the same time, he expected it. He was his parent's only son.
But the more he thought about it, he realized his dad was getting at that age. And he'd heard his dad mention retirement before. If that's the case, Jaemin would be taking over soon...
"Wow, I hope he's ready for that world," the woman said, knocking Jaemin out of his thoughts.
"Of course he is. We know our son, and we're sure he's a well mannered, smart young man."
Jaemin coughed, trying to hide the laugh that was coming up his throat. If only his parents knew what he did. But he would never tell them. He'll just let them think what they think.
"I'm sure he is," the woman said, sending Jaemin a smile. "I'll get going then."
Once she left, the parents turned to their son, smiling.
They were really happy to see him. They don't get to do that often since they're both in the business world. Even though they lived about 20 minutes away, they're jobs kept them away.
"We're really happy you could make it," Jaemin's father said, earning a small smile from Jaemin.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world."
His mom sent him a smile before being pulled away by Jaemin's aunt.
"Excuse me," she said to the other two before walking away.
"So dad-"
"Excuse me sir, but there's a meeting in the banquet hall."
"Be right there," Mr.Na said, turning to look at his son. "I'm sorry, but can we talk later?"
Jaemin nodded, but his eyes showed disappointment.
His father gave him one last smile before turning to go to the hall.
Jaemin sighed, a frown placed on his face. He was annoyed. Don't get him wrong, he loved his parents. It's just, they were always busy, and never had time for him. Not even when he was younger.
His parents tried to spend more time with their son, but work always got the best of them. But Jaemin was practically used to it, so it didn't really surprise him.
Taking out his phone, he looked through his contacts, about to call Renjun, but refrained.
"He's probably on the plane," he mumbled, putting his phone back in his pocket.
Jaemin sighed once more before walking around the huge house.
About 3 hours had passed, and his parents had checked up on him once or twice, but that was all. Most of the night, he was alone.
At the end of his walk, he walked to the big glass wall, the opposite side where he was originally standing.
Jaemin looked at the pictures that were hung. It was of him when he was a child. Smiling softly, he let out a small laugh as he looked at a picture where his family looked like a mess. But, a happy mess.
"That's cute."
"Hm?" Jaemin turned his head, his eyes meeting another's.
She was pretty. He wouldn't lie. She had long black hair and wore the darkest shade of lipstick. Her necklace hung nicely on her neck, and her dress stopped right above her knee.
"It's not nice to stare you know," she told him, her lips turning into a smile.
"Sorry," Jaemin replied, looking away and scratching his neck.
"It's okay," she replied. "Want one?"
"Sure."
She handed Jaemin a cup which was most likely alcohol. And when he felt the stinging in his throat, he was sure.
"What's you name?" he asked her.
"Don't worry about it," she replied. "Do you wanna, maybe go to your house?"
Jaemin nodded. One drink turned to two, which turned to three. He could already feel himself getting drunk. Whatever was in the cup was really strong.
The walked to his car, getting in quickly. The car ride was silent, as the girl drank the rest of the drink in Jaemin's glass.
They finally got to his house. But she didn't waste another second. Walking out of the elevator, and into Jaemin's apartment, she pressed her lips against his, him kissing back.
Jaemin couldn't think straight at the moment. His parents were probably looking for him, but he didn't really care. He'll face the consequences later.
Just not now.
Oof, sorry for the bad chapter
