The next morning, Haneul woke up with the sound of a baby crying.

She sat up in her bed, bringing Hajoon on her lap, trying to make him stop. Looking at the clock, she groaned in annoyance.

It was only 4 in the morning.

"Shhh," she tried, but he continued to cry.

She thought for a second before coming to an answer that the baby wanted milk. Haneul got out of bed and carried the crying baby before opening the door of her bedroom.

Yes, she locked the door. Jaemin didn't have her full trust yet

She walked through the dark hallways, feeling herself growing more and more tired as she took each step.

Jaemin ended up sleeping in her living room, even though he said he'd take the baby to his apartment so she could sleep okay. Haneul told him to stay since it was really late.

Finally, she made it into the kitchen, and turned the light, on trying to hush the baby. The last thing she wanted to do was wake everyone else up.

Getting the milk powder, Haneul used her free hand to get the bottle and pour some warm water inside. But before she could put the powder inside, a voice interrupted her.

"Haneul?"

She froze for a second before turning around.

"Hey," she replied, turning to face the boy.

"He woke up?" Jaemin asked, a smile on his lips as he walked closer and took the baby from her hands.

Jaemin played with the baby, and eventually, he stopped crying, and his cries turned into laughs as Jaemin tickled him more.

Haneul looked over at the two, her heart aching. She really wanted a family she could call her own, but she didn't think she'd get one.

Knocking herself out of her thoughts, she poured the powder in, put the cap back on, and shook the bottle, making sure it wasn't too hot to give to the baby.

After she did that, she was about to grab Hajoon from Jaemin, but he stopped her.

"It's okay, I'll do it. You look like you're really tired."

"No, it's fine, you look way more tired than me," she said.

And it was true. She could see how the frustration of everything affected Jaemin. His hair was messy, and his eyes looked like they would close any minute now.

"Don't worry about me. This is my problem, and I shouldn't just let you do everything when you did nothing but help me."

Haneul gave him a grateful smile, but before she could go, Hajoon started to cry, reaching out for her. But when she went to take him, he just stayed in Jaemin's arms.

"I guess he wants both of us," Jaemin yawned, taking the bottle from her hand, and walking over to the couch.

Haneul stood near the couch, watching the two. Jaemin looked like he was about to fall asleep, and the coach didn't make it any better.

"Let's go to my bedroom," she said, making him give her a confused look. "You can just leave when he's asleep."

Jaemin raised his eyebrows, but stood up and followed her inside. Haneul closed the door behind her and sat down, Jaemin doing the same.

The two stayed in silence as Jaemin fed the baby. They wanted to talk but were too tired to say anything.

Soon, after about 15 minutes, Haneul felt the urge to sleep but tried to hold it together. But slowly, she rested her head on Jaemin's shoulder, falling asleep.

And not long after, Hajoon fell asleep too, clinging onto Jaemin's shirt.

Jaemin turned and slightly smiled. Maybe this was how it felt to have a real family. And even if it wasn't much, he was already falling in love with it.
