𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘 ↷ na jaemin.

~ Chapter 48 ~

"Jaemin, what did you do?" the woman asked, giving her son a glare. She stood straight, making Jaemin slightly intimidated by her. 

"Uh...Nothing? I did absolutely nothing. Why ask?" He began, trying to act natural. Mrs.Na gave her son a look before hearing baby cries through the apartment. 

"What was that?"

"That was nothing," Jaemin began, trying to block the door so she would come inside. 

"Jaemin move," she spoke sternly, causing the hairs on Jaemin's back to stick up. 

"But, it's nothing," he mumbled, looking at his mom, hoping she'd go. 

But she didn't.

Instead, she pushed past him, walking into the room. The cries grew louder until it was obvious to the mother that, there was in fact a baby in the house. 

Upon hearing the footsteps, Chenle and Donghyuck stood up. To be honest, they were scared of Jaemin's mom as much as he was. 

"How are you Mrs.Na-"

But Chenle didn't have the time to finish. 

"Where's the baby?"

"What baby?" Jaemin asked, earning a glare from his mother. 

"Jaemin, I'm not going to ask again. Show me the baby."

Jaemin looked away but slightly nodded his head before making his way to where Jisung and Hajoon were. 

Walking inside the room, he shut the door, startling the two that were there. 

"Hyung, are you okay?" Jisung asked, noticing the groan escaping Jaemin's lips. 

"Does it look like I am?" Jaemin walked closer, taking the baby from Jisung's hands. 

"What happened?" Jisung asked, standing up. 

"My mom." And that was enough to make Jisung quiet. He widened his eyes, and everything made sense. That's probably why Jaemin was upset. 

Jaemin left the room with the baby, Jisung following behind. 

Finally, Hajoon stopped crying. But it didn't matter anyway though. 

He took small steps, not wanting to rush to his mom. But he knew if he didn't then there would be an even bigger problem. 

Hajoon played with Jaemin's hair, not having any idea about what was going on. Or what was going to happen. 

Eventually, Jaemin reached the living room where his mother was. Chenle shot glances at him but shot glares at the boy behind.

"So it's true?" his mother asked,d staring at the baby.

Jaemin looked over at his friends who immediately looked away. And of course, they told his mother what had happened. 

Jaemin looked back at his mother, deciding that he'd try to stall.

"What do you mean-"

"Jaemin, I'm not stupid," she shot back. Her anger was evident in her eyes. 

He took a breath before nodding his head. "Yes, It's true."

Mrs.Na looked away, tears about to fall. Yes, she was upset. Who wouldn't be? Her son had gone off and done stuff that she had no idea about. And yes, it's his life, but this was something that affected her too. 

She looked back at him, and guilt washed over Jaemin. He didn't mean for her to feel upset. He didn't mean for anything to happen. 

But before he could apologize, his mother interrupted him.

"Call her."

Jaemin looked at her confused. "Call who?"

"Call Haneul and tell her to come here."
