"Jaemin?"

Seeing her son all grown up in front of her, brought tears to the older woman's eyes. Of course, they were tears of joy.

Jaemin looked at his mother, but the anger that would have been in his eyes in the past, was all gone. In fact, he gave her a smile small. The most genuine one she had ever gotten from him in a while.

Not wasting another second, Mrs.Na pulled her son into a hug, although it was kinda hard due to the fact that Jaemin was still carrying Hajoon.

A laugh escaped the baby's lips as he got squished between two people, but that alone made Jaemin, and even his mother, smile wider.

They stayed in that position while the mother mumbled a few apoligies but Jaemin dismissed them. He didn't want his mother to apoligize to him. It didn't feel right. Besides, he had already forgiven her. Even though it was very hard to, he did it.

A cough behind them got their attention. They both pulled away from the hug, and let go of each other.

"Um...Am I interrupting something?"

Haneul stood behind them, a smile plastered on her lips. She took in the sight in front of her. She was thrilled with the fact that Jaemin and his mother was getting along.

And she was getting along with his mother as well.

Earlier that day, Mrs.Na had come to Haneul apartment. Luckily, she didn't get caught by any paprazzi on the way there.

She had told her everything, and so many things, that everything made sense. It was all clear. And she was even told about everything Eun had done.

And the most important thing: She had to get Jaemin back, because he did nothing wrong. Haneul thought about it more afterwards, and realized that she had overreacted.

She never let him speak. Besides, if she was in his place, she would find it hard to manage everything going on too.

"Are you ready to tell him?" Mrs.Na asked, her smile slightly fading. And the smile on Haneul's face left as well. She nodded quickly as Jaemin's mother took Hajoon from Jaemin. At first, he was hesitant, but the look he got from Haneul told him it was okay.

The baby and his 'grandmother' stayed in the living room as Haneul grabbed Jaemin's hand and led him to her bedroom.

Butterflies were felt in his stomach as she grabbed his hand. She was making his heart beat at the slightest thing. But he better get used to it.

Eventually, the two reached the room, Haneul closing the door behind. The made their way to the bed as Haneul sat down.

Jaemin stood awkwardly, but she gave him a small smile, and patted the space next to her. He reluctantly sat down, and turned to her. He didn't know why, but all of a sudden, it was hard to look at her.

"Jaemin," Haneul mumbled after a moment of silence.

Finally, his eyes locked with hers, and it felt as though time had stopped. But the two escaped the 'trance', and soon, an awkward silence washed over the room.

"So-"

"I'm sorry," Haneul interrupted.

And again, the room became silent.

"I shouldn't have overreacted-"

"No, it's okay. Don't apoligize," Jaemin gave her a small smile.

Silence.

Haneul groaned in frustration at their lack of communication. So of course, she decided to say something to stop it.

"Jaemin, I love you," she began. "And the thought of ever losing you and Hajoon really breaks me. Can we please forget the past, and just start over?"

Runaway by Eric Nam hits differently, I swear-
