~ Chapter 54 ~

"Oh, my fucking God Jaemin, I literally leave for a trip, and now, you have a girlfriend, which I'm proud of actually, but a baby as well?"

"Okay, Renjun, you're overreacting-"

"No, I'm not! You woke up with a baby in your bed."

Currently, Jaemin was facetiming Renjun, filling him in on everything that had happened. And as expected, Renjun wasn't taking it too well. 

"How come you never told me earlier?"

Jaemin didn't know what to say. He should've told Renjun. He was best friend after all. He kinda had the right to know. 

"I'm really sorry. It was my problem. I didn't want to get you and your girlfriend to get involved when you guys did nothing wrong."

Renjun studied his friend for a minute before forgiving him. "At least I heard this from you, and not a random stranger. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if I did-"

"Okay, okay," Jaemin interrupted, giving his friend a smile. 

"So," Renjun said, changing the subject. "How have you been?"

"You know what? I'm good. Like, for real for real."

Renjun smiled at his friend's response. He felt happy that Jaemin was finally settling down. It made him feel like Jaemin was finally becoming responisible. And that was definitely a good thing. 

But before Renjun could ask anything else, the sound of a baby and a girl interrupted him. Renjun felt his heart explode when Hajoon came on screen. 

"Okay, I can't stay mad," he said to Jaemin. "You're lucky the baby's cute."

Jaemin smiled widely before the phone rang. He answered, and his eye widened. "Renjun, I have to go."

Renjun realized the reason, and nodded his head before ending the call. At least his friend remembered about the meeting with his father. 

Jaemin closed his laptop screen before getting up from the bed. It was the next morning, and Jaemin nearly forgot about the meeting he had. 

Haneul rolled her eyes at his careless behaivor, but gave him a teasing smile. Jaemin did the same, and quickly went into the bathroom as he changed his clothes. 

He walked outside, and put his shoes on. Finally, after what felt like forever, he was done, and ready to leave. 

Haneul made sure Hajoon was sitting on the couch before following Jaemin to the door. 

"I would rather stay here with you guys, but I guess we can hang out later," he mumbled to the girl. He pulled her closer, his hand on her waist. 

"I'll miss you," he mumbled, making Haneul's cheeks flush. He leaned in, as Haneul closed her eyes, ready for what was about to happen. 

But before he could close the gap, Hajoon cried, breaking the two up. Haneul stepped back and cleared her throat. 

"Jaemin, go so you're not late," she said, slightly pushing him out the door while trying to hide her embarrassed face. 

Jaemin chuckled at her behaivor but walked out the door. 

"I love you," he said, giving her a smile. 

"I love you more," she replied, looking away. 

Jaemin winked before walking down the hallway. Haneul closed the door and breathed in and out trying to calm her heart. But that was harder than she thought. 

Especially if Jaemin was all she could think about.
