"Well, please tell me this is a dream."

Everyone was currently sitting in the living room, trying to process what Eun and Jaemin had just told them.

By everyone, it was just Mr and Mrs. Jung, Jaemin's parents, and Jaehyun, Jaemin, and Eun.

"So you're telling me the baby I saw at your house isn't yours and Haenul's?"

"No mom," Jaemin sighed, "I didn't even know he was mine until now."

Eun looked away, too ashamed to look at them.

"But why can't you two just get married?" Mrs. Jung asked, confused. Since they had the child together, why not get married?

"Because-" but Jaemin was interrupted.

"He doesn't like me," Eun mumbled, looking at the ground.

The group became quiet. No knew how to respond to that. And to be honest, Jaemin felt a bit bad for the girl. It's not that he didn't like her. It's just, he likes, no, loves, Haneul more.

He sighed, and looked down, rubbing his hands together. Maybe if she would have approached him like a normal person, and not leave their baby with him knowing he didn't know, then maybe they would have had a different ending. But everything you want doesn't always come true.

And besides, Jaemin was happy with Hajoon and Haneul. He wouldn't change that for the world. He was kinda glad too. He was happy he had met Haneul. But that wouldn't have happened without Hajoon.

Or Eun.

The quiet grew, putting everyone at edge. Jaemin's mother gave him a look, but this one was filled with hate or disapointment like before. It was filled with guilt and sympathy. Jaemin scoffed. He didn't need anyone's pity anymore.

"It's not that I don't like you," Jaemin managed to say after a while. "I'm just upset you told me now. After almost 2 years. And what you did won't be easy to forgive either. I know it's my fault too, but I'll take care of the baby. You don't have to. Besides, I have someone else."

Eun looked over at him, and finally, he looked back. "I understand," her voice coming out like a whisper.

Jaemin nodded, and gave her a stern look, but soon, his voice became soft after seeing the tears about to fall from her eyes. "I'm sorry Eun."

She quickly wiped the tears away from her face, and gave him a smile. "It's okay," she said, getting up. "Shall we go?" she finished, looking over at her family.

The Jung family nodded, and gave Jaemin's parents a small smile. "We'll see you later?"

"Definitely," his mother replied, walking them to the door.

They family left, leaving Jaemin, his mother, and father alone in the room. Still, his dad didn't say anything to his son.

Mrs. Na felt guilty. She got mad at Haneul even though she didn't cause any of the things that were happeneing. If only she could go back in time.

Jaemin got up from his chair and went to the door. He felt trapped in his house, and wanted to go back to his apartment as soon as possible. Putting on his shoes, he grabbed the handle.

"Jaemin, wait-"

But his mother was interrupted but the shutting of the door. And for the first time, she felt like she lost her son. And that was the worst feeling she's ever felt.

Damn, Eun just- 😔
