Battle at the Forest pt. 1

"You're with child?" Vetto repeated what Tetia announced to her friends. "Congratulations, Tetia...and Licht, too, I guess." Raia said, and Licht chuckled.

Thea stared at Tetia's belly in awe while Tetia giggled and Licht smiled at his sister. "May...May I?" Thea asked while holding up her hand. Tetia nodded, and Thea placed her hand on her tummy. "A-A baby...?" She was still in awe, "You're going to have a baby!" Thea cheered and smiled.

"Congratulations, Tetia, Licht." Lumiere said with a small smile. "I...never knew how wonderful and fascinating the miracle of life can be." Thea muttered and felt the baby move, "I-It moved!"

"I'm sure it won't be long before Thea has a swollen belly as well." Raia said, and everyone laughed.

"Shut up, Raia!" Thea said and lightly punched him with a reddened face. "I'm sure it's soon to happen." Fana said while Vetto nodded in agreement.

"Fana...Vetto...Not you two." Thea groaned.

"Lumiere, tell them to stop making fun of me!" Thea whined. Everyone turned to Lumiere, whose face was a bit red. He was scratching his cheek while looking off to the side.

"I mean...it's a thought." He muttered and began to fantasize. Licht chuckled. "Great. My fiancé's broken." Thea said and began to fantasize as well, "I-I don't want to rush things, you know. L-Licht and Tetia are to be married soon, so it should be their moment to shine."

"I know you're thinking about it too." Lumiere said with a smile, and Thea's eyes sparkled. "Just think about it! My baby boy with my hair and your eyes or-or a baby girl with your hair and my eyes! I wonder if they'd be pale like me. Oh, and their personalities, too! They'd be so cute!" Thea cooed, and everyone laughed. Thea's blush darkened.

"Please...forget I said anything." She muttered.

"But..." Thea began and placed her hand on Tetia's stomach again, "This child will be the bridge that connects our two worlds. I just can't help but be excited. Once humans and elves begin to understand each other and accept each other, then Lumiere and I can finally get married." She spoke softly.

Tetia gave her an empathetic look. The royals at the Clover Kingdom weren't fond of hearing that Tetia was marrying Licht. Tetia was royalty after all, but since she was going to be living among the elves, the other royals had no choice but to leave her be.

But, it's different for Thea. Lumiere couldn't live among the elves because he was needed in the kingdom. He's the prince, after all. He and Secre have to come up with a million excuses to allow Lumiere to sneak out of the kingdom to see Thea. If their engagement were to be announced in front of the kingdom, Thea would surely be assassinated within a short time. There was nothing they could do but wait.

Tetia grabbed Thea's hand and held in her. "Everything will work out, Thea." She said, and Thea smiled. "Of course." She said.

The next day, Thea was getting ready to leave to explore for the day. Patri came to talk to Thea because he was still upset about her marrying Lumiere, and the talk of them having a child drove him over the edge.

"Why won't you just listen to me, Thea?!" Patri yelled while Thea hummed, sitting in her room, brushing her long white hair. She was getting ready to see Lumiere. Her heart swooned at the thought of him. His fluffy blonde hair, his ocean blue eyes, his soft lips that she's kissed hundreds of times.

"He's only using you for your magic. He doesn't love you as much as you love him." He continued, but Thea wasn't listening. She was still in her fantasy. "Thea!"
