Chapter 39 - Daddy Felt Despaired

"If XiaoNai falls sick, I will never forgive you! Bring me to her immediately!" YouYou did not want to take any chances, when children fall sick, they tend to suffer the discomfort a lot and of course adults will feel the heartache.

"Come with me!" XiaoHan have never taken care of such young children before, so he had absolutely no idea how to deal with them whatsoever. Moreover, before he had his own children, he always despised them as they are generally whiny and noisy, especially when they start crying. However at this moment, his heart was racing with concern and wished he could reached his daughter the soonest possible. When he heard that his daughter might catch a cold and fall sick, he was no longer strolling, instead he was literally running with YouYou who was mad and anxious beside him.

Beside where they were, there is a long green corridor that links the villa at the mid of the hill right down to beach. The winding corridor is hedged in by the original forest and looked majestic. It has ever been recorded in mid air by a documentary film crew and was the talk of the town, everyone knew that amongst the Ji Family Villa, there is such a natural corridor that is not only majestic but has been termed as the natural oxygen bar. Additionally, to add to the wonders of this corridor that was built with pure glass, the area surrounding it was interspersed with a big zoo and an aquarium, that was specially designed to blend in with the forest, it was simply spectacular.

Originally, XiaoHan planned to bring YouYou to the beach by walking through the corridor. However, the moment he thought about his little girl and her catching a cold, he immediately headed to his car to drive down through the series of tunnels in order to reach there faster.

"Get in!" XiaoHan looked at her as he urged her to board.

YouYou really did not feel like sitting in his car, however, for her daughter's sake, she opened the car door and got on. The car immediately sped off like a an arrow that have been shot from the bow as it rushed down the slope towards the beach. There were no cars at all along the route, so XiaoHan stepped on the accelerator and expertly navigated the route. YouYou lowered the car's passenger side window and could only hear the wind rushing by, she was so afraid for her life that she grasp the seatbelt as tightly as she could.

This man is driving like hell has broken lose.

"Can you slow down? We ain't that rushed for time." YouYou did not want to lose her life here, so she sounded out to remind him for the sake of safety.

"Believe me, I will not allow anything to happen to you!" XiaoHan replied confidently.

YouYou could only purse her lips and frightfully replied, "Believe you, I rather believe a ghost!"

XiaoHan's face darkened as he heard clearly what she said.

A few minutes later, XiaoHan stopped his car near the beach, he shoved the door open and walked hurriedly towards the beach. YouYou also scooted out of the car and ran towards her daughter. At this moment, on the beach, the little one have already taken her shoes off her and in her hands was a kite that she was pulling and running with, her smile and happiness was absolutely angelic.

"Mummy......." XiaoNai was happily playing when she spotted her mummy running towards her. She gave a beautiful big smile and started running towards YouYou too.

"Slow down....." YouYou saw her daughter running towards her with her short legs and was immediately worried that she might trip and fall. Right at the moment that thought appeared, XiaoNai managed to trip and fall flat on her face onto the sand.

Butler Uncle Yuan has been trying his best to keep up with her but was a tad bit too late.

As XiaoHan heard his daughter calling out to her mummy and then started running towards YouYou, he unconsciously slowed down. In his heart, he felt a sense of despair that he had never ever felt before. How he wished that the small little body was running towards him instead, too bad for the almighty CEO Ji that he was overthinking. His position in his daughter's heart will never replace that of YouYou. The little one's first reaction after obtaining something she likes was to show it to the person she loved most and that would be her beloved mummy.

Just as XiaoHan slowed down to process his feelings, he saw the little one falling over.

"XiaoNai....." XiaoHan's heart was racing with fear and then he started running again towards his daughter.
