Chapter 14 - Offended Someone?

The man in the forefront, wore a standard black suit that gave him a powerful, neat and tidy appearance, his handsome face looked as if it was hand sculpted, his eyes were so somber as if this entire world's emotions have been drained out of him, that distinctly cold and arrogant outlook stops people dead in their track if they had any ounce of thought in them to try and give him nonsense.

He stood there with one of his hands in his pants pocket, exuding an air of almightiness and elegance so much so that his presence overshadowed the rest of the normal looking men behind him. Perhaps it was from the boredom of waiting for the lift, the man's sharp and eagle like eyes glanced to the lift beside that had opened it's door. A somewhat familiar face amongst the exiting people quickly flashed pass him. XiaoHan Ji quirked his eyebrow slightly as his eye closed into a slit, deep in thoughts. That pretty and determined face was something he couldn't possibly forget.

The back of his hand where he got bitten, was still a little swollen, XiaoHan suddenly felt the pain was starting up once again.

Why is that woman here? Could it be that she's an employee here?

A flash of light sparked across his eyes as he suddenly thought of something, he quietly beckoned to his personal assistant, Qing Lu, behind him and instructed, "Go and find out if the woman who walked past just now is an employee here." Qing nodded and quickly went about his business.

WeiYi company's senior management is bustling at the moment, as if preparing for battle. The corporation's HQ notified around ten minutes ago that the CEO XiaoHan Ji will be visiting the company to have a look around. In the short ten minutes time, everyone in WeiYi was hustling and bustling about in preparation to receive the CEO.

After making his rounds in the company, XiaoHan say in the company's big meeting room alone, drinking tea. His PA, Qing quietly opened the door and stepped in to report his findings, "Young master, that woman came today to be interviewed for the designer role, her name is YouYou Tang."

Her family name is Tang? Then it can't be wrong, that's the crazy woman who bit him like a dog last night.

"Bring her information to me, I want to see!" XiaoHan said even more coldly than before. Qing already prepared the information beforehand, knowing that his young master would be requesting for it, presented the information before him.

His cold and hard eyes, scanned through the resume in his hands and soon after, he threw the information aside and instructed, "Inform HR, this person is not to be hired." Qing do not dare to ask for a reason as his young master always have a reason for his actions. Since he thinks that this woman have issues, then he can't be wrong.

At the supermarket, YouYou pushed her shopping cart and stood at the aisle full of children's clothings and with her eyebrows locked together, deep in thoughts.

"How tall is my son now...."

"NaiNai loves pink colour... I'm sure she will like this!"

The season is changing and the little rascals are growing up fast, within the short span of a few months, they would have outgrown their current clothes, so it's about time to get them new sets of clothes. YouYou quickly picked a few sets and headed to the fresh produce section.

Just as sudden, her phone rang. She quickly fished out her phone thinking if it was her godmother who called, however the person on the other end of the phone was the HR executive from WeiYi.

"Ms YouYou? I'm really sorry, this is HR's official notification that your interview was not successful, we will not proceed with your employment."

"What? But your manager just now informed me...."

"This is our senior management's decision!" the HR executive quickly added and ended the call to avoid any further conflicts.

YouYou was in a complete state of shock and stared at her phone for a long while. What in the world happened? One moment she was pleasantly accepted into the company and was due to start work tomorrow and the next moment she was abruptly terminated? She was instantly anxious when another call came in and this time, it was her godmother Xi Liu.

"YouYou, I just received a call from HR informing me that your interview was not successful? Do you know about it?" Xi found it really strange too and couldn't wrap her head round the news.

"Yeah, I just received the notification too. Godma, do you know what happened? I thought I had an agreement with the company already." YouYou felt unjust.

"I will find out more, call you back later!"

Ten minutes later, Xi called back again.

"Godma, so what happened? Have I done something wrong?" YouYou anxiously asked.

Xi keep silent for while on the other side for awhile, then she angrily asked, "I heard that it was the company's HQ's boss whom decided not to hire you, YouYou, please be frank with me, have you offended someone from our company"s HQ?"
