Chapter 48 - Unable To Accept This Reality

He ordered two of his bodyguards to remain near to the area and to report to him his children's whereabouts. Of course, he was doing this to protect the two children from any dangers, what if his children got lost again, that would certainly cost him his life! On his way at home, XiaoHan do not have the mood to drive, so he lazed at the backseat and reminisced the moments he had with his two children today.

YouYou brought the children home and quickly locked the house door.

WanLian, who was taking an afternoon nap, woke up the moment she heard the door open. When she stepped out of her room, she saw YouYou pressed against the window staring out, and looking a little frantic. She was concerned and beginning to feel anxious too as she asked, "YouYou, what are you looking at? Anything happened?"

"Grand aunt, mummy is stealing a glance at daddy." XiaoNai smiled happily as she replied.

"Daddy? What daddy?" WanLian was confused.

"It's our daddy, he just brought us home!" XiaoNai's little eyes was still shimmering with the tears from earlier when she had to leave her daddy even though she did not want to.

XiaoRui gently rapped on his sister's little head and said, "Don't spout nonsense, mummy is not stealing a glance, mummy is thinking about him!"

YouYou finally relaxed after she saw the convoy of cars pulling away from street. She turned her head and saw her aunt looking worriedly at her. "YouYou, have you actually found the children's father?" her aunt asked surprised.

YouYou was like a deflated balloon that had lost all of it's air, she sank into the sofa and looked both distressed and helpless.

"Aunt, is there anything to eat? We have not had anything to eat yet." in front of her children, YouYou did not wish to discuss about XiaoHan, no matter how much she despised and hated him. After all, he was still their father.

WanLian understood YouYou's intentions and quickly went into the kitchen to cook some food. Not long after, she brought out a pot of hot and soupy chicken noodle. YouYou sat down with her two adorable babes at the dining table, and they polished that pot of noodles clean.

"XiaoRui, bring your sister into the room and play, have fun!" YouYou wanted the children to be away so that she can then talk to her aunt about what happened today.

However XiaoNai has other plans as she quietly requested, "Mummy, I want to watch cartoons instead!"

YouYou could only vacate the living room and turn on the television for her children to watch, while she and her aunt went into the bedroom and closed the door behind them.

"YouYou, what happened? I noticed you are concerned and worried over something." WanLian asked with great concerns.

"Aunt.... That man want to steal my children....." YouYou just started talking and her tears flowed as if the water tap was turned on.

"What?" WanLian was shocked and quietly asked, "Is that man really their father?"

YouYou roughly wiped away her tears and choked back her sorrows as she said, "He took the children's blood sample to do a DNA matching, and it has confirmed that he was their father."

"Oh dear, then what will happen next? What is he like? How could he try to steal your children away from you just because of a DNA report? YouYou, the children have been brought up by you, you must never let him take them away from you no matter what ok? Not even one of them should ever leave your side, children without their mother are so poor thing." WanLian is also a mother herself, so she completely understood how it would feel like for a mother to lose her children.

"Aunt, issue is, that man is very wealthy, I'm afraid there is no way I can legally fight against him and still win the case." YouYou felt even more depressed and helpless at that.

"How rich can he be? Even if he is very wealthy, he must also be logical right? Unless..... he is willing to marry you!"

"He will not marry me!" YouYou will never accept a brute like that bastard to be her husband.

"Could he be.... already married? if that's he case then I could understand."

YouYou shakes her head and sobbed, "He should still be unmarried....."

"If he's not married, you do not have a boyfriend, then for the sake of the children, you should consider......"

YouYou bit her lip and continued to shake her head, "No, I will never marry him, and he will never marry me too. Aunt do you know who is he?"

"Who?"

"XiaoHan Ji!"

"What?! XiaoHan Ji?" her aunt looked as if a bolt of lightning has struck her as she continued, "Isn't he the one that everyone was speculating about for being the world's wealthiest yet low profile magnate?"

YouYou's face turned white as she wrung her hands with anxiety, she had been checking him out on her phone while she was on her way to his place, no one knew the actual net worth of XiaoHan so far and they could only estimate that he is easily the wealthiest man in the world at this moment of time. However on the Forbes list of wealthiest person, he has never been listed before, but that doesn't mean he should be overlooked.

"Oh my god..... YouYou, XiaoRui and XiaoNai is really his children?" WanLian was stupefied and could not get her thoughts in order. It made perfect sense why the two children out there have such perfect genes with such high intelligence, so...... they have inherited their father's genes.

"Aunt, now do you understand how troubled I am by this, he only wants the children......" at that thought, YouYou felt as if her heart being was stabbed several times by a dagger.

WanLian reached out to pat YouYou on her shoulder and consoled her, "YouYou, aunt is also worried for you, however..... I really have no idea how best to console you, if XiaoRui and XiaoNai is really XiaoHan's children, he may really take them away, for someone's that wealthy, he never allow his children to endure anymore hardships."

"I will not allow him to do that, I rather the children live a normal and quiet life instead." YouYou was even more heartbroken. As parents, regardless whatever it is, she always felt that she owe her children too much, be it emotionally or materially, she knew that she would never be able to provide them the best.

WanLian felt sorrowful for YouYou, the two of them hugged each other for awhile, and quietly sobbed as they have completely no idea how to deal with this situation.

"Aunt, I need to meet a friend later tonight, could you please help me look after the children for awhile?" YouYou quietly requested some moments later as she wiped dry her tears.

WanLian gently replied, "YouYou, if you have something on, just go ahead, I will make sure the children are well taken care of."

XiaoRui, who have spent the whole day playing, has climbed onto the little bed and was taking a nap, XiaoNai was sitting snugly into her grandaunt's embrace, holding onto her bottle of milk and enjoying her cartoons.

YouYou left the house at around 5pm and soon arrived at the restaurant that she agreed to meet XuanChen Lu at.

This is a high class restaurant serving fine dining western cuisine. Just beyond the luxurious door was a majestic crystal chandelier that hung from the ceiling, YouYou have never stepped foot into such a luxurious place before and cannot help but be awed by the setup. She remembered that XuanChen's family is a little wealthy, however they should not be that well off to be able to have a meal at such a high end place.

YouYou roughly estimated the expenses and calculated that a simple meal here would cost easily tens of thousands. So why was XuanChen so generous and picked such a place to meet after not having met her for so long?

YouYou was led by the waiting staff to the reserved table and sat down. The table was situated right beside the window and the view was marvellous, she could see half the city's lights from there. YouYou lifted the glass of water and took a sip while she patiently waited.
