Chapter 52 - Threatening Her

YouYou can't be bothered with the nasty things that had spouted out of XueRou's mouth, she kneeled down on the floor and carefully opened the bag to check through the things inside.

"Where is that jade pendant inlaid with gold? Did you take that away?" YouYou could not find that item amongst the things in the bag. She know she had seen it in the past, as her mother often hung that jade pendant over her neck and told her that she would give it to her wen she had grown up.

XueRou laughed mockingly, and scornfully replied, "Why would I want your stuff? YouYou, I am now rich and famous, so why in the world would I even want to take a dead person's item."

"I am very sure there was piece of jade pendant, quickly return it back to me." YouYou was very determined as she replied.

XueRou actually knew the whereabouts of that jade pendant, however she refuse to tell YouYou anything only because she wanted to see her suffer.

"If you want that pendant back, it's possible! You must agree to two of my conditions, and I will not only give you back the pendant, but I will give you a large sum of money, enough for you to go overseas and live comfortably." XueRou originally wanted to just drive her out of the country, however on second thoughts, since she had already reached a certain status level in society, she should not do anything that may damage her image and reputation. Problems that can be resolved with money is not a problem at all.

YouYou was taken aback, she could feel herself fuming, "If you don't return me the pendant this instant, I will make sure there's hell for you."

"I've told you, if you agree to my conditions, the pendant and the money will be yours, what say you? Would you like to consider this?" XueRou replied smugly.

"What conditions?" YouYou really wanted the pendant back badly, to her that pendant was very precious.

"My conditions are very simple, you just have to leave this country and go wherever you want by tomorrow and vow never to come back here ever again, I will give you $100000 every month and also help you find that jade pendant, these conditions should be quite attractive for you." XueRou said smugly.

"Want me to leave the country? Giving me money? Why are you so generous?" YouYou did not believe that this woman would suddenly be so nice to her and even wanted to look after her like a sister.

"Don't ask, you only need to make a decision, once you agree, I will get my people to transfer the money to you....." XueRou sounded desperate.

YouYou smiled icily, "If I don't agree?"

"If you don't agree then don't even think about getting that pendant back. on top of that, once I say a word, you will not be able to get even the lowliest jobs here and you'll starve to death, die poor and wish you hadn't crossed me." XueRou threatened cruelly and heartlessly.

YouYou froze, she did not expect XueRou to be this cruel and wicked to force her this way. In fact, YouYou already knew why XueRou acted this way.

"Is this related to that XiaoHan Ji?" YouYou had to clarify.

XueRou was stunned, she momentarily felt like someone has beaten her up all over and she was not feeling happy about it, she icily replied, "What has it got to do with him? I just don't wish to see you ever because I hate you."

"XueRou Tang, how did you manage to reach your status today, was it really because of your own hard work? Or..... Were you relying on someone else to get there, he must have been the one to have pushed you to where you are today right?" YouYou sarcastically said. Every word she said, was like a sharp knife slicing away XueRou's fragile facade piece by piece.

YouYou noticed XueRou's silence an ashen face and knew right then that she had hit the nail on the head.

Rumours mentioned that you were XiaoHan's girlfriend, that he was the one who financially aided you to become a famous celebrity. Just now at the restaurant, when XiaoHan asked me to go up to his private room to have a drink, you were practically panicking, so you immediately caught my attention and wanted me to come back with you to collect my mother's belongings, just what are you afraid of?" YouYou crossed her arms in front of her chest and firmly belted out everything she has observed so far. Her every word made XueRou turned whiter and whiter.

"YouYou Tang, just who do you think you are? Did you think CEO Ji will fall for someone as plain as you? What have I to be afraid of? I am a hot an popular celebrity right now, my earnings are even comparable to the rate of money printing machines. I am rich and beautiful and have a pick of any men I fancy. No doubt, XiaoHan is the most perfect man in this world, but believe me when I said that he will defer to me once I wag my fingers at him." XueRou seem to deliberately exaggerate what she said, just to puff her ego to hide her obvious lack of confidence.

YouYou raised her eyebrow at her ridiculous claims, then she blandly jest, "Is that so? Just now when XiaoHan came downstairs, if I wasn't wrong, he didn't even looked at you at all, I thought he was your financial sponsor? If that's the case, why was he so cold towards you then?"

YouYou was practically rubbing salt into XueRou's open wound, it hurt her so much that her face scrunched into a knot, she angrily growled, "YouYou Tang, what are you jabbing at? I warn you once again, if you dare to offend me, you'll wish that you have never been born!"

YouYou obviously have the upper hand here, so she icily replied, "If you don't return me what is rightfully mine, I will not let you off easily too."

On hearing that, XueRou's brave facade shattered into a million pieces, she showed a pained expression and pled, "YouYou, on the account of us being siblings through our father, could you please help me out instead?"

"XueRou Tang, you are no sister of mine, after all you have never ever viewed me as your sister in the first place, so drop your acting already. That aggrieved and pitiful expression, may be a winner in front of your fans, however it is nothing but disgusting to me. I don't understand why must you hold on to the jade pendant that my mother left behind for me. You are already so wealthy so why so you still want to hoard my jade pendant?" YouYou really could not understand XueRou's actions, it felt like she deliberately did not want to return it to her just to spite her.

"I'll just be frank with you then. I have given that jade pendant away!" XueRou suddenly said.

"Who did you give it to?" YouYou became furious instantly.

"No point telling you. In any case..... that jade pendant is considered gone forever, I will compensate you in cash, just give me a figure!" XueRou said matter of factly.

"You think you are very great just because you are rich? That was what my mother left behind for you, how could you give it away?" YouYou was fuming mad by now.

"You left the country five years ago, how would I know that you still want these old and useless stuff, so happen my friend saw the pendant and loved it, so what if I gave it to her? Not like it was worth anything." XueRou replied with disdain.

"XueRou Tang, you big bully! I warn you now, better get my jade pendant back, or else I will make sure your reputation is washed down the drain." YouYou replied angrily, as if a volcano was about to erupt.
