Chapter 58 - Obediently Follow Him Home

After seeing his two children seated into the car, XiaoHan's cold and handsome face then immediately became icy cold. YouYou's exquisite and pretty little face was not looking any better too. XiaoHan sat into the car first and YouYou stepped in after.

After she sat into the car, she realised that this was a small confined space that has been completely isolated from the driver in front. The atmosphere in the confined space became very dense and awkward.

"Why are you bringing the children overseas? Just because I am their biological father?"

YouYou thought that XiaoHan was ready to burst forth and interrogate her to her death, so she didn't expect him to actually talk to her nicely.

"You can say that's one of the reasons, if you tr to steal them away from me, I will never agree to give them up to you. Before you appeared, we had been living life peacefully while we were oversease anyway." YouYou suppressed her inner fluster and calmly replied him, seeing that this man was not out to pick a fight with her.

"If I never knew about the children's existence, I wouldn't have interfered with your life. However right now, I will not agree to you taking them overseas to live. What can you, a frail  and weak woman, be able to provide for them to Ensure they have a better living?" XiaoHan is a very picky man by nature, especially when it comes to standard of living, so he will never allow his children to live a life that is any less than comfortable.

YouYou's beautiful eyes turned and stared hard into the man's cold hard eyes, her own eyes started to swam with tears, "Don't you think you should try to put yourself in my shoes for a little and think, I have raised these children for the last four years all by myself, they are most precious and important to me, do you even understand how I feel when you decided to just take them away from me? My reaction to your threat was only normal for any parents who love their children more than anything else in this world." YouYou said with a tinge of frustration and despair.

XiaoHan shut his narrow and long eyes closed for a moment, and then he replied, "I'm sorry, I was really too impatient."

"What's the point of saying sorry to me? I only wish that you do not take my children away from me, I cannot live without them." YouYou did not want to hear words of apologies since it doesn't solve the problem at all.

"What do you suggest be done then to resolve this problem so that we will have a good ending?" XiaoHan actually gave this some serious thought last night, after he had calmed himself down. Although he had spent briefly, half a day yesterday with his children, he did noticed that his children will not be able to part with their mother too. As the father of the twins, although he wanted to have them with him badly, he recognised that his children have already had very matured thinking and have their own opinions of how things should be. So he cannot be so cruel as to force his children to abandon their mother to follow him, he could never hurt his own children this way. So, he decided to look for YouYou today to have a good talk and discuss this matter.

Just as he was on his way to her, he received a call from the watchers he had posted at the area of their residence that they saw YouYou carrying three luggages, and hailed a cab, looking as if they plan to leave for some journey. Upon hearing that, he immediately rushed over. Fortunately, he was able to stop their cab from advancing further.

YouYou bit on her lower lips, she was still feeling flustered. Previously, she was able to utilise her anger and scold XiaoHan who acted every bit like a tyrant. However right now he is using a calm and logical manner to talk to her about their children, and she realised.... her mind was complete blank.

"I really don't know how....." She dipped her head as she replied expressionlessly.

"How about his, let the children stay for a few days with me, then a few days with you....." XiaoHan suggested, in what he felt was the fairest for both of them.

"I really don't wat to be away from them for even a single day, it's better for them to live with me, you can visit them as and when you want to." YouYou bit her lower lips again, unwilling to budge.

"YouYou Tang, you would rather expose the children to danger? Have you any idea how many enemies I have in this world? If they knew I have two children now, it will be nothing but disaster for them!" XiaoHan suddenly became very serious as he told her his situation.

On hearing that her children might be in danger, she quickly raised her head and stared at him with eyes full of panic, "In that case, you better not find them anymore, you shouldn't expose them to any unnecessary dangers."

"If they follow me and live with me, all these dangers can be easily avoided." XiaoHan's agenda was only this.

YouYou clenched her two little hands into fists, this man can be so hateful, he had to deliberately say all those things just to intimidate her, isn't he trying to make her give in to his demands?

"The children cannot live without me too!" two can play the same game of intimidation.

"So the best solution is, you move in with me too."

"I don't want to live with you!" YouYou immediately replied.

XiaoHan sarcastically remarked, "If it wasn't for the fact that you are my children's mother, would I even have asked you to move in?"

YouYou is completely speechless, this man really deserved a good smack for daring to look down on her.

"I have so many rooms here, if you don't wish to live under the same roof with me, at mid hill, you can always stay at the beach house, this would ensure there are miles and miles of distance with between us and so we would be able to avoid the awkwardness of seeing each other everyday." XiaoHan blandly offered.

YouYou was momentarily taken aback, she realised that whatever he had suggested actually sounded logical and acceptable, at least it was a lot better than him looking down on her like she was nothing but an ant yesterday.

"If you are willing to let me stay there temporarily, this arrangement is also possible... However, I hope that you do not interfere with my life." earlier on when YouYou was on the way to airport with her two children, she can't help but feeling a little soft hearted when she saw how much her children desired to be with their father, it really broke her heart.

When she said that her children were living happily before this, it was only because they didn't know the existence of their father. However at this moment, it would be impossible to make her children forget about this man and return to the state of happiness before he has appeared. Even though she had been doing her best to be a good mother to the, however she knew that no matter how much care and concern she could give to to her children, it would never be able to replace the care and concern from that of a father.

Right there and then, YouYou decided never to let her children live without their father's love. Of course, she decided to give in all for the sake of her children, in her opinion, XiaoHan was nothing but a stranger to her, even though five years ago, they did had an intimate moment together, she still considered that an accident.

XiaoHan already anticipated that this woman will accept his suggestion, because she have no other choices.

"Of course, we will not interfere with each other." his thin lips curled up into a smile, though that smile obviously had a hidden agenda.

They car continued to drive towards the direction of the Ji family's vast villa. in the car, YouYou did her best to keep as far a distance away from that man as she could. Earlier on, while her nerves were all tightened, she didn't sense the man's overbearing aura that could suffocate and smoulder. Right now, as she began to calm her nerves down after coming to terms with him over the children, she suddenly felt an ominous aura coming from the man beside her and shuddered.
