Chapter 49 - Seeing The Most Hated Person

About ten minutes after YouYou arrived at the restaurant, several high-valued cars arrived with a limousine and stopped right in front of the restaurant. The security personnel stepped forward and respectfully opened the car's door, out came a pair of long and slender male legs, followed by a young and handsome face that appeared amidst the spectacular lights.

The firm and resolute lines on that face, exuded an absolute sense of arrogance. The hand made and tailored suit was worn over a perfectly built and sturdy body as if a treasure gifted and blessed by the heavens. His nose was was proud and slender, his eyes were deep and profound as if one is looking at a bottomless, icy lake with no end in sight.

He exuded an aura that forces people to stay away from the high and mighty him. Such a man, no matter where he is, will always be able to grab the attention of the masses. He just stepped out of the car and was very quickly the talk of the town. Women were mesmerised by him and men were ashamed to be in his overbearing presence.

However in face of all these attention, XiaoHan was completely unstirred. He arrogantly led his bodyguards and his PA into the VIP lift at the side of the building. While in the lift, his irises narrowed into a slit and he suddenly clenched his hands into a fist a little. That woman actually came to such a place to date another man, hah! How shallow.

He wants to see, just who this man was and could it be that that woman was hankering after his wealth? However, in terms of money, he don't see himself losing out to anyone.

By now, YouYou have drank the third cup of water already, she looked at her watch and saw that it's coming close to 6.30pm, strange that XuanChen still have not arrived. She still need to go back early to give her children a bath and coax them to sleep. Just as YouYou was getting anxious, from afar, she saw two figures approaching. One was XhuanChen and the other person was XueRou.

YouYou's face quickly darkened with her eyebrows furrowed deep in thoughts. why had XuanChen brought XueRou here wth him? Could it be that tonight's dinner would be done together with XueRou? The moment she thought about how that wretched woman put up such a moving act that night, and that arrogant attitude of hers, made YouYou wanted nothing but to walk off.

"YouYou....." the two of them walked over, XuanChen looked elated to see her and walked over to greet her. YouYou still gave a smile as she looked at her high school senior whom she used to secretly loved, regardless of her hate for XueRou.

"Brother XuanChen! Why did you arrived with her?" YouYou did not hide her displeasure towards XueRou.

XueRou started her acting once again, however, this time, she threw her clutch at XuanChen like some arrogant and unruly princess, "XuanChen, take my clutch and put it aside!"

XuanChen quickly grabbed the clutch and gently placed it at the seat beside him, he turned back and and looked at YouYou as he started to explain, "YouYou, I guess you are not aware, I am now XueRou's talent manager."

"What?" YouYou could to believe what she heard.

XuanChen is a handsome man, he looks really decent and is still very charming when he smiles. He stays next to XueRou's grandmother and the two of them knew each other since young. XuanChen was already popular with members of the opposite sex since young, his grades were good, his personality was positive, he is charming and good looking too. YouYou was inadvertently attracted to him too because of his plus points.

However today, the single most disappointing thing was that XuanChen had gotten involved with XueRou. XueRou deliberately wanted to see the crestfallen look on YouYou's face, her seductive lips curved up into a smirk.

"YouYou, XuanChen is really a sensitive and caring person, he had been treating me exceptionally well too, I am truly fortunate to have him as my manager." XueRou praised XuanChen in her melodious and gentle voice.

XuanChen was literally in cloud nine, his handsome face smiled shyly as he humbly said, "XueRou, you are too kind, I am honoured to be able to work with you too."

YouYou stared at XuanChen's sweet shy smile and in her memories long ago, he had always been smiling like that.

"Brother XuanChen, let's meet again some other day, I still have things to do...." YouYou suddenly wanted to find an excuse to get away.

"YouYou....." XuanChen frantically grabbed YouYou's hands as she reach out to grab her handbag, ready to leave. XuanChen looked like he could not bear for her to leave so soon, he quietly begged her to stay, "YouYou, have dinner first then leave, since you are already here."

XueRou casually flicked her long hair over her shoulder and smirked as she said, "She obviously did not want to have a meal with me on the same table, XuanChen, between us two, you decide for yourself ok, to accompany her or me for dinner."

YouYou immediately understood what XueRou is getting at, she must be here deliberately to dig into her and annoy her. Unexpectedly, whatever XueRou said made XuanChen feel troubled.

YouYou did not want to trouble XuanChen further, so she sat down on the chair and blandly said, "Since I'm here, I will have a quick meal before I leave then."

XueRou was expecting YouYou to leave here angrily, she totally did not expect her to actually be so thick skinned and faced with her ridicule to stay for dinner. XuanChen then let go of her hands and relaxed visibly as he happily called the waiting staff over to take his orders.

On the second floor in a private room all to himself, he crossed his arms as he quietly sat in front of the full length window. He had the full view of whatever happened at the table in front of the window on the first floor. When XuanChen frantically grabbed YouYou's small hands, his eyes flashed dangerously for a moment.

This woman really know how to create unnecessary attention to herself. In just a short few minutes, she managed to make another man frantic so much so that he had to grab her hand.

The three of them sitting at the same table was truly awkward and icy. XuanChen could sense something wasn't right, however, one is his boss, the other is his best friend from a long time back, he felt troubled being sandwiched between them both.

"YouYou, five years ago, you left without saying anything, I was truly disappointed." XuanChen sipped his red wine and could not help but recalled his sorrow back then and he looked a little accusatory towards her.

For that, YouYou also felt really sorry and said, "Brother XuanChen, I am so sorry, something happened suddenly...."

"Hur..... Something happened suddenly!" opposite of her, XueRou that looked like a proud peacock and was admiring her newly done manicured nails, suddenly smirked.

YouYou stared furiously at her, this wretched woman dare to ridicule her in her face, back then if it weren't for the trap that she and that toxic mother of hers sprung on her, would she have needed to escape overseas in the first place?

"Just what happened that you can't tell me even? I have even asked my friends to help me keep a lookout when they go overseas for any signs of you, however you practically disappeared from the face of the earth. YouYou, I only got to know that you have returned, from XueRou, that's why I called you." XuanChen said unhappily, grievances written all over his face.

YouYou furrowed her eyebrows and asked, "Where did you get my number from though?"

"I asked your grandmother!"

YouYou then understood, on the day she returned, she did gave her grandmother a call. She did not expect XuanChen to go and ask her grandmother for her contacts. Could it be that after so many years, he still has feelings for her and that has not changed?

XueRou snorted and sarcastically said, "Why don't you tell XuanChen what happened five years ago? Could it be that you don't dare to say or are you too embarrassed to tell him?"
