Chapter 35 - What If I Don't Want To Reveal?

The moment YouYou heard XueRou's name, she felt a sudden surge of anger that rise from her heart. On the day she came back, she made her way specially to the Tang family mansion to retrieve her deceased mother's belongings, however she did not expect this man to forcefully removed her from the residence. XueRou has even threatened that she would burn all her mother's belongings. It's been two days since, she had no idea whether her mother's belongings was still intact, the moment she thought about it, her eyes swam with tears as her grief and sadness forced them to roll down her cheeks.

XiaoHan saw her tears rolled down, his well crafted eyebrows furrowed and said, "You only need to tell me the truth, I have no other intentions."

"I beg you please.... let me and my children go please? Please do not steal them away from me." YouYou begged fervently as her grievances caught up with her. She couldn't see any other way except to beg for his mercy as the man in front of her have all power in the world and is not afraid to wield it to his advantage.

"What if I say no?" XiaoHan replied coldly, without a shred of mercy.

YouYou gulped down her tears, as she stood up and replied with determination, "Then I will sue you."

"I suggest you don't waste your time, there's no way you can sue me and win, I am backed with the city's best lawyers. Moreover, there is no one in this city, no, in this entire country that would dare take up your case against me. Do you understand?" XiaoHan arrogantly replied.

This woman, is absolutely undermining him, she even threatened to sue him?

YouYou knew that what he said was not merely to threaten her, but he was being truthful with his prowess. This man have all the wealth and might, it's not some woman who is a nobody like her would be able to go up against. But does that mean that she had other choices, but to let this man do as he please and steal her children away from her?

No, never, over her dead body! She must win this battle for her children even if it meant her life.

YouYou lowered her head and kept her silence as she did not have anything else to say. XiaoHan's fingers drummed on the sofa's armrest, his eagle sharp eyes staring at the woman opposite of him. She was still wearing her black power suit paired with a light pink shirt within, her tight skirt was wrapped around a pair of slim and fair legs. At this moment, seated opposite of her, his own eyes darkened. Her long black hair was unbound and fell slightly disarranged around her shoulder, the result of their earlier squabble.

She look young, as if she was just past her 20s, it's impossible to believe that she is already a mother to four year old twin children. Her fair and sunflower-shaped face, held a pair of black and clear eyes, she looked so pure and chaste that she could still easily mesmerise any men's hearts.

in the midst of this quiet and peacefulness, a mobile phone rang. It was YouYou's phone. YouYou was wallowing deep in sorrow that she did not notice that the man opposite of her had been taking in all of her with his eyes.

She fished out her phone and answered the call.

"Brother XuanChen?" Her beautiful face lit up and was astonished by the male caller on the other side of the phone.
(Translator note: I can't seem to find a better word to use for "brother" here, it is usually used by a female who have a very close / intimate relationship with a male who is not from the same family , if you watch Korean dramas, the word "brother" here is similar to "Oppa" when Korean female address the man they love.)

XiaoHan has glanced away for awhile as he got a little bored. However the moment he heard her calling the caller in such a intimate way, he eyes shot back to her and stared at her intently. To call someone this intimately should mean that their relationship wasn't just normal friends.

"Tonight right? Ok, I will go over as soon as possible." YouYou did not expect her childhood sweetheart, XuanChen Ma, would call her at this moment and even invited her to meet for dinner. It's been so many years since she last saw him. When YouYou left the country, she had left without saying anything to him, for that YouYou have always been feeling rather guilty for what she has done. Now that she have the opportunity to meet him once again, she must apologize to him for what she has done.

When YouYou finished her call, she requested XiaoHan again, "Please return me my children, I have something important tonight to attend to, I have no time to waste here."
