Chapter 63 - Wants Daddy to Treat Mummy Better

She wished that this would be the best case scenario as she had ever suspected if her daughter might be autistic and even brought her to a doctor for diagnosis, just in case. However, with her patient guidances, her daughter's personality eventually bloomed from there.

"Let's go!" as YouYou was pondering upon the past, a passionate and excited eyes glanced towards her.

"Ok!" YouYou nodded her head, in the past, when they were heading out, her daughter will always kick a fuss and wants YouYou to carry her. Right now, someone else has taken over the task and she felt much more relaxed. Carrying a child all around is a labour intensive task and there was a time when YouYou had to carry both child in her arms and it was so tiring that she could barely feel her arms after.

As the three of them stepped out of the living hall, XiaoHan made a phone call. Soon after, Uncle Yuan brought XiaoRui out with him and in his hands was a robot toy that he was happily playing with.

"Mummy, this robot is so cool! It can even transform itself!" XiaoRui immediately showed off the robot to YouYou as if showcasing a treasure and demonstrated the robot's transformation ability. YouYou looked into her son's excited eyes and felt really touched out of the blue.

XiaoHan touched XiaoRui's little head and said, "Get on the car, after dinner, daddy will play with you a little while more."

"Ok!" The little guy could not hide his happiness and became really excited upon hearing his daddy telling him that they would play together later. YouYou stood beside them with her daughter, overlooking the scene in front of her happily, when suddenly her eyes glanced upon and briefly locked gaze with the man's smiling deep eyes. For a moment she was lost in his eyes and when she realised what had happened, she quickly looked away as she thought to herself that she was only happy for her children but not for this man. XiaoHan's forehead creased with annoyance as any warmth he felt was snuffed out so immediately, as though he had stepped into a raging snowstorm on top of an icy mountain.

The atmosphere at dinner was perfect, the two little ones was having dinner together with their daddy and mummy on the same table for the first time in their life, they were all smiles and excited.

"Daddy, mummy loves to eat fish, you should pick some for her!" XiaoRui's eyes flashed momentarily with slyness as he suggested. Since mummy decided to stay, he is going all out to create the opportunity for his daddy and mummy to come together and bond properly.
(Translator note: Chinese eat most of their meals with chopsticks and its pretty common for family members to pick up food with their chopsticks for their love ones or for their elderlies out of respect. So essentially XiaoRui is trying to create the opportunity for his dad to show some love and concern for his mum by asking him to pick some fish for her.)

XiaoHan raised one of his eyebrow, while YouYou was stupefied at her son's devious schemes. 

"Go and eat your food and keep your mouth shut!" YouYou glared sternly at her son.

XiaoHan, such a prideful and almighty being, would he even lower himself to pick food for her? That's so ridiculous and impossible. Just as YouYou was certain that XiaoHan would definitely not do such a thing, he extended his arms and already picked up a piece of succulent fish meat with his chopsticks and dropped it into her bowl, "Here you go!"

This is so unbelievable, XiaoHan actually picked a piece of fish for her? This is too suspiciously like trying to get into her good books, however YouYou could not come to terms with it. This man is really temperamental, in front of the kids, he acted kind and generous, but when the kids are gone, he would revert to his original form. She cannot trust him at all.

"Sorry, I have severe OCD and would not eat anything touched by others...." YouYou then picked up that piece of fish from her bowl and left it on the plate just beside her.

The perfect atmosphere have suddenly dissipated!

XiaoRui's guiltily blinked his two big eyes. XiaoNai who was shoving a spoonful of her favourite meat dish with her mouth wide open, also suddenly froze midway and her pair of black eyes was blinking nonstop. They looked at daddy and then looked at mummy!

XiaoHan could feel his inner volcano coming close to exploding, for the first time in his life, he tried to be nice to someone and.... he was rejected, once again. This feeling.... it's not just unbearable, it was as if someone stepped on his pride over and over, it was insulting. 

Hmph, this woman really have no idea what is good for her, he swear upon his own surname that he will renounce it if he ever try to be nice to her again!

YouYou also sense that her actions have upset the atmosphere, however she thought that there was nothing wrong with her actions. She truly did not like to eat food that was picked by others for her, especially more so when it was from XiaoHan, she naturally and instinctively rejected his goodwill, probably because psychologically she didn't like him to begin with.

The two little fellas, noticed the sudden change in atmosphere and instinctively became more sensible and quietly continued to have their meals. YouYou could sense anger and frustration emanating from the eyes of the man opposite of her.

Hmph, that man is so ridiculous, wasn't he the one who stopped her car from heading to the airport and insisted to bring them all back to his place? Why did he even bother to try and be nice to her now?

YouYou ignored that man's angry gaze and continued with her meal, on the contrary, the dishes on the table now seems more palatable than before. She wondered if she was actually a born a badass? Since this man managed to split her precious children's love for her, she would not let him have an easy life for sure.

After dinner, the family of four board his car and headed home!

YouYou went directly back to the beach side resort, while XiaoHan was still hanging around the living room of the resort, unwilling to leave.

"Daddy, come and help me with my bath!" XiaoRui gradually developed a deeper relationship with his daddy, so he felt it was alright for him to make such a request. XiaoHan was still looking for a suitable excuse not to leave and was very grateful for his son's request, that he immediately agreed.

YouYou was trying to find excuses on the other hand to make XiaoHan leave and creased her forehead immediately when she heard her son's request.

"XiaoRui, I will help you with your bath later, let your daddy go back home and rest." YouYou tactfully turned this to her advantage to get the man to leave. However the little guy pursed his lips and shyly replied, "Mummy, you are a woman, I cannot have you help me bathe me everyday, that's a little shameful for me."

"....." YouYou didn't know what to say.

"Haven't mummy always been the one to help you with your bath? I didn't see you objected then?" YouYou felt that her son deliberately went against her wishes.

"That's in the past, now the situation is different already, since we found daddy. In this case, the men should take a bath together instead." XiaoRui replied with ample logic and reasoning. XiaoHan felt proud of his son upon hearing what he said, as he realised that his son is so sensible and capable.

"Just let me help him with his bath, it's not a big matter anyway, going forward, I can frequently help him with his bath, since he's growing up, it's good that he is aware of the difference between men and women too." XiaoHan piped in to stand up for his son.

YouYou could not rebut to the smooth transition between the two guys and reluctantly agreed. "I really don't like listening to what you said really." YouYou spat out directly.

XiaoHan's lips twitched a little at what she said and wonder if she seriously had to be so direct? She actually gave him cold-shoulders and rejected all his goodwill! If not for the sake of the children, he would never take this lying down. XiaoHan led his son to the bathroom with the silent permission of YouYou and turned on the tap to get the bathtub going and once the bathtub is filled, he helped him to remove all his clothes and placed him into the bathtub. The little guy obediently sat cross legged into the bathtub.
