Chapter 61 - A Chance For Her To State Her Conditions

When XuanChen finally walked out and closed the door, XueRou dropped her front and looked pleadingly at YouYou, "YouYou, you said you have no interest in XiaoHan, so why have you decided suddenly to stay? Is it because you have fallen for him too?"

YouYou really hated XueRou's fake politeness and felt that she is always wearing a mask where her expression changes as and when she liked, she had no idea which of her expressions was ever her real one.

"I am indeed not interested in him, however this is none of your business so why should I tell you anything at all." YouYou replied sarcastically.

XueRou knew that YouYou is very stubborn by nature, moreover, she had always hated her from young, so at this moment, even if she were to throw away her pride and ego to ask for her help, she will never be willing to help her too.

"YouYou, do you really want to go against me and make me your enemy? You have to think properly, we have completely different status in life right now, if you try to go against me, it will not be any good for you." Since cajoling don't work, XueRou decided to give her some pressure instead, she don't believe that YouYou will be unmoved.

"Mummy is back!" XiaoNai saw YouYou first and excitedly launched herself off her daddy's lap and ran over to YouYou to grab one of her finger and dragged her over to the table, "Mummy, quickly, come and see what daddy drew for us."

YouYou really did not want to join in the crowd, however she cannot withstand her daughter's eyes that sparkled with excitement, so she had no choice but to follow he daughter over to see what she wanted to show her.

"What's that? Duck?" YouYou looked at XiaoHan's masterpiece and her lips quirked into a smile.

XiaoHan's eyes momentarily darkened as he replied nonchalantly, "This is a swan."

"That must be the ugly duckling before it turned into a swan then!" YouYou pursed her lips trying not to laugh out loud.

XiaoHan's euphoric mood was monetarily dashed and he lost all mood to continue drawing, when he heard her criticisms and challenged her, "You should draw then, see how it turns out."

YouYou refused to back down, so she sat down beside him, picked up the pencil and started to sketch nimbly on the paper. XiaoHan have never learned how to draw professionally, so to him, being able to draw a swan into a duck is considered an achievement. YouYou on the other hand, have been learning designing, so drawing comes as second nature to her, so she quickly drew the outline of swan in no time. XiaoHan's face became even darker by the second seeing her progress.

"Mummy is so fantastic, that's so well drawn." XiaoRui clapped his hands in glee. XiaoNai propped her head up with her two hands on the table as she looked excitedly at the swan her mummy is drawing, that is becoming more beautiful with every stroke of the pencil. Soon, YouYou finished drawing her swan and looked challenging towards the man.

XiaoHan had to admit defeat, he blandly said, "Ok, you win, what would you like for your reward, just say it, I will fulfil it!"

YouYou was taken aback, her beautiful eyes looked at him and blinked twice as if she didn't understood what he said. Earlier on before she started drawing, did they wagered on anything?

"Mummy, quickly give daddy a condition, Daddy is already giving you a chance to." XiaoRui grabbed the opportunity to encouraged his mummy.

YouYou felt uncomfortable and replied, "I.... I don't have anything I want."

"You sure?" XiaoHan quirked his eyebrow. YouYou nodded her head in affirmation.

"That's too bad, I was thinking of letting you work at WeiYi's design department, since you said you didn't want to......"

"Wait!" YouYou wasn't able to think of anything she wanted earlier on, but the moment she heard what he said, her eyes sparkled brightly, "Did you say you will let me work at WeiYi's design department?"

"Why? Didn't you already applied to work there?" XiaoHan replied with a little sarcasm.

At that, YouYou was furious, she stared at him and said, "if you hadn't stopped me, I would have gotten the job."
