Chapter 5 - Taking Back Whatever Belongs To Her

Upon seeing who entered, the man continued to focus on the document laid in front of him, and in a emotionlessly asked, "Anything the matter?"

XueRou sauntered slowly to his desk, she smiled ever so sweetly and asked in her sweetest alluring voice, "Mr Ji, today is my birthday, will you come to my place tonight to celebrate with me?"

"I'm sorry, my schedule is very full today, I won't have time to attend." XiaoHan Ji continued looking cold and distant, her passionate invite did not incite any of his interest.

The only reason why he would ever allowed her to step foot into his domain was because five years ago, her body saved his life. However this doesn't mean that he would entertain any of her antics.

Having been rejected for four years straight, XueRou immediately look disappointed. She managed to force tears to flow and immediately her attractive eyes filled with tears looked sad and alluring.

"Fine, I understand!" XueRou was devastated, the man before her eyes have given her everything and literally made her a queen, however he refused to be her king. This had been the only thing that has forever eluded XueRou, other men have been scrambling to get her attention, yet this one majestic and elegant man refuse to bow down to her will and even treated her like air.

"Any other matters?" the man quirked his eyebrow a little as he displayed a profound demeanour.

XueRou felt as if an electric shock went through her body, that her very soul felt like it was going to be sucked into an endless abyss that is his eyes. The man's sensual and chiselled features, is as if god has personally and specially moulded him piece by piece, part by part to be that perfectly beautiful art. That sexy lips with that calm and emotionless voice shocked XueRou back to reality as if someone had poured a bucket of ice cold water on her.

"Nothing else, I shan't disturb you any further." XueRou slinked out of the room like a beaten dog and quickly left the office.

The night sky gradually crept across the city, YouYou has finally settled down her two precious babies and will be leaving them in her aunt's care, as such she was finally feeling relieved.

Her two little rascals, since young, have been exceptionally sensible. Especially her son who was born merely half an hour before her daughter, and has been taking on the big brother role very seriously. Since young, he has always been calm and wise beyond his age, and she never had to tell him to look after his sister, yet he has done a great job doing that.

YouYou felt that she had made the most important and correct decision in her life to give birth to her two precious and adorable children. Having them gave her the strength and courage to forge on her path and take on the world.

"XiaoRui, please look after your sister, you must also obey grand aunt's instructions, Mama have some matters to deal with and need to go out now." YouYou knelt down, patted her son's head and instructed gently, then she cupped his little face and pecked him lightly on his cheek, and then turned to give her daughter a kiss too.

Her aunt, WanLian Cheng, looked gravely at YouYou and said with concern, "Take what you need to and quickly come home, ok?"

YouYou looked at her aunt's concerned face, nodded her head and replied, "Yes, I know."

"Mummy, please be very careful when you are outside." said XiaoRui in his child-like voice, as he took a few steps forward, this made her feel very assured and warmed her heart.

YouYou patted her son's head once again, smiled with a nod and left the house. She checked her bag ensuring it was secured and remained very calm. Her aunt was worried that she might come into conflict with her family members whom she has disliked so much, however she was no longer the same impulsive her from five years ago. This time, she is going back to retrieve her deceased mother's belongings, and as long as she gets what belongs to her, she will leave immediately.

YouYou quickly made her way to the Tang family mansion and upon reaching, she noticed that the path leading to the mansion was crawling with people, the immediate area outside of the gates was lined with reporters and members of the public who got curious at what was happening inside.
