"Look, all I'm saying is that maybe Sophie should take my SAT for me."

Oliver and I burst into laughter at Nathan's attempt of getting me to do his work for him. We're currently back in his car after spending three hours at his house. When we finished studying and I finally completed all my missing work, I went to play with Zach as promised. He was such a sweetheart and very smart for a kid his age. He told me so many interesting facts about airplanes that I lost track of them all.

I didn't see Sean for the rest of the time I was there. When we got introduced earlier he seemed... off. Like he was uncomfortable or annoyed to be around me and even though Nate said I didn't do anything wrong, I can't help but feel bad.

"You really think you can get away from doing it? The teachers will know you're missing, dumbass" Oliver smacks the back of Nate's head. I'm sure if he wasn't busy driving right now, Nathan would've hit him too.

"Ugh stupid fucking tests" he mumbles to himself, gripping the steering wheel hard. I gently lean forward a bit to touch his shoulder, "language Nathy."

"Right sorry" his eyes meet mine for a second in the mirror as he releases his harsh grip on the wheel. I sit back in my seat and pull on my sleeves to cover my cold hands. "Where are we going anyways?" I ask cause they never told me. One moment I was talking with Zach and the next they announced we were gonna leave somewhere.

"To get ice cream" Oliver says nonchalantly but jumps a little in surprise when I gasp loudly. "What? What's wrong?" He asks and turns his body in his seat to look at me, making sure I'm not hurt. "Ice cream?! Yesss!" I bounce in excitement with a huge smile on my face.

"Jeez Soph, you nearly gave me a heart attack" Nathan let's out a breath of relief. "Right? I got fucking scared. You crazy girl" Olly shakes his head in playful disappointment at me but I'm too caught up in the fact that we're getting my favorite dessert.

A full five minutes later, we're parked in front of the little shoppe and I rush out of the car. Skipping towards the front door, I wait for the boys to catch up but frown when I see them staring at me from their seats inside the car. I can tell they're holding back laughter just by the expressions. I cross my arms in front of my chest with a pout, fake glaring at the boys.

"Can you please hurry u- ow!" the door to the ice cream parlor hits the side of my head cause i was standing too close. "Oh! I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking and I used my foot to open the door" a woman apologizes quickly. She looks to be in her early thirties and she's struggling to hold her months old baby in one arm while the other hand is holding her purse and her toddlers small hand.

"It's okay, I shouldn't have been standing so close. You have cute kids by the way." I smile at the baby who's got it's tongue sticking out as it's looking at me. Both children look the same so I can't really tell if they're boys or girls but either way, they are adorable.

The woman adjusts the purse onto her shoulder so she has a better grip on the toddlers hand. The child smiles up at me then licks the small chocolate ice cream cone it's holding. "Oh, thank you. They're a handful but I love them to death" the mother tells me. "Well sorry again for hitting you. Have a good day. Say bye to the nice girl, Matty" she looks down at the toddler.

The little boy cheekily smiles and says, "buh bye" in the cutest voice I've ever heard in my life!

I wave and say my goodbyes too, watching as the family walks away. "Does your head hurt?" Nathan asks from behind me, causing me to scream a little in shock. I didn't even hear them get out of the car.

"You scared me!" I turn around with a hand to my heart and Oliver reaches his hand out to gently touch where the door smacked me. "I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not going to because it's payback for when you scared us in the car" Nate say smugly.
