Nathan's pov:

I didn't think I'd be this nervous. I mean, I knew I'd be a little nervous but not this much. What the fuck am I even saying? I'm dying here!

A knock on my bedroom door is heard and a second later, my brother Sean opens it with an annoyed look on his face. "Will you calm the fuck down in here? Zach and I could hear you pacing around and breathing from the kitchen."

When I don't respond and continue walking back and forth in the middle of my room, his brow furrows. "What are you even freaking out for? Did something happen?"

Pff... 'did something happen'? Of course something fucking happened!

"Nate c'mon, just tell me already what's got you so riled up" he crosses his arms and leans against the doorway. I mumble my response but he doesn't hear it. "What?"

"I'm going on a date"

He blinks. "That's it? You're freaking out over some chick? What's the big deal?" I stop my pacing and give him an incredulous look.

"Some chick? Lilly isn't just a chick, she's- she... ugh! She's pretty fucking important to me okay Sean so don't say shit like that." I pause for a second then continue with my spiel. "And for the record, yes this is a big deal. Alright? Unlike you, I don't get the courage to ask a pretty girl out on a date. It's rare if a girl even spares me a second glance, so the fact that Lilly even accepted my offer of a date is blowing my fucking mind."

"Woah, okay relax man. Look, I'm sorry alright? I didn't know." He grabs my shoulders firmly and meets my eyes apologetically. Nodding, I look away and glance at all my clothes thrown around the floor. In a panic of not knowing what to wear, I didn't notice how I made a mess of my things.

Sean sees what I did and shakes his head. "When are you meeting her?"

"In four hours. I'm picking her up at her place around 6pm and I still have no idea where I'm taking her." Fuck! Why didn't I think of this sooner?!

"When did you ask her out?"

"30 minutes ago over facetime. I wasn't even on planning to, it just kind of slipped out. We were talking and I looked at her gorgeous face and the question just blurted out. I think I scared her. She looked shocked."

"Okay, this is driving me nuts. Hey, look at me" he grips my shoulders yet again and shakes me.

"Stop.Freaking.The Fuck.Out.And Get. A Grip!" On the last part, he lightly slaps the side of my face, knocking me back into reality.

He's right. I need to focus. I gotta figure out what I need to wear and where this date is going to take place. But how will I know what to wear if I don't know where to go? Jesus, I sound like a girl. Wait a minute... girl.

"I gotta call Sophie"

At the mention of her name, Sean stiffens but I ignore it and search for my phone. "What do you need to call her for?

Finding it on my drawer, I go to speed dial and Sophie's name pops up. As it rings, I answer his question. "If I want advice about a girl, I need to talk to one and Sophie is the only girl friend I have."
