Tamaki gently took you to the basement, not daring to look back at you. He was worried that if he did, he would let you go. It hurt him too much to see you in pain. With regret in his heart, he lightly tied you back up. He kept his gaze on the floor as he finished and moved in front of you again. You tried to think of a plan, frustrated that you had lost yet again.

Tears of frustration came to your eyes and fell down your cheeks. Tamaki noticed this, and his eyes widened. "W-Wait, bunny. Please, d-don't cry." He said, crouching down and cupping your cheek with his hand. His indigo eyes looked into yours. "I know, this i-isn't great. It's d-definitely not what y-you want, either. I didn't have a choice." He admitted, wiping your tears away.

You looked down at him, scowling. "As if I'd accept your apology. All you have done is take away my freedom! You took away who I was!" You yelled, causing him to flinch and fall backward. He caught himself with his arms. "B-Bunny, please. Don't yell." He practically begged. You glared at the poor boy. "And why shouldn't I?! You've given me no reason to trust you!" You shot back.

Tamaki looked hurt, but at the same time, he looked like he understood. "You're right to not t-trust me. I know I haven't e-exactly been the kindest or the b-best, but I'm trying to be better. You've been t-through a lot, and I r-respect that." He replied, managing to get to his feet. The indigo-haired boy looked away, feeling more guilty than ever.

"I get it if you h-hate me. I get it if you never w-want to see me again. I'm just t-trying to protect you f-from everyone else..." Tamaki trailed off, fidgeting with his hands. You were surprised. Nobody else had been like this. Nobody else had been so empathetic. "... what?" You subconsciously muttered.

Tamaki looked into your eyes for a brief moment. The poor boy looked like he was about to cry. "I d-didn't want them to hurt you. I know it's s-selfish and I know I-I'm a bastard, but... I just w-want you to be safe." He admitted, his face turning a light shade of pink. You couldn't tell if he was flustered or closer to crying.

"That's s-something I can't apologize f-for. I love you w-with everything I have and I want t-to protect you." Tamaki said, his blush going even darker. You looked at him in shock, feeling bad for what you'd said. He looked at you with an ever so slight smile. "E-Every time I see you, my day g-gets better. I saw light w-within you. I don't want anyone to t-take that away."

You were dumbfounded. Tamaki really was different than everyone else. "Tamaki..." You trailed off, looking into his indigo eyes. He averted his gaze. "I r-really do love you, (Y-(Y/N)." He stuttered, smiling sheepishly. You felt yourself smile. You didn't understand why, but what he said meant a lot to you.

Tamaki rubbed his arm, looking down at the floor. "You're not selfish, and you're not a bastard, either. You were trying to help. That's better than everyone else so far." You suddenly said, making his gaze trail to you. He seemed surprised. "You... you m-mean that? You're not doing i-it because you think t-that I might hurt you?" He asked, feeling guilty.

You shook your head. "Of course not. Even if you might have kidnapped me, you're really nothing like the others." Your words eased the worries in Tamaki's heart. He smiled, looking down at the ground and blushing again. "I'm s-sorry that I couldn't protect you f-from them." He apologized, toying with his hands again.

You wanted to put your hand on Tamaki's shoulder to comfort him. Unfortunately, they were tied. "It's okay. You couldn't have known." You comforted. The boy looked away with guilt, but looked back into your eyes and smiled slightly. He wrapped his arms around you, pressing his forehead to yours. His indigo eyes seemed to look right through your soul.

Your face became a deep shade of pink as you looked away shyly. Tamaki chuckled quietly, moving back a bit. "You're s-so cute, bunny." He said, smiling. Your blush darkened as you smiled slightly in return. You still weren't sure how to feel about the whole situation. It wasn't like the boy was entirely innocent. He wasn't too bad, either.

"We don't h-have to be all b-buddy-buddy or anything. I'm j-just glad you understand." Tamaki noted, rubbing the back of his neck. The two of you were cut off my Mirio walking in. "Hey, Tamaki! We have a bit of a problem..." He trailed off nervously. Instantly, the indigo-haired male was paying attention. His eyes became serious as he stood up, walking over to the blonde.

The two males whispered to one another as they began walking out of the room. Just like that, you were alone once more. You were confused. You wanted to know what the problem was. The muffled sound of their voices was practically all you could hear. So, you tried to focus on it. Perhaps if you focused enough, you'd be able to make out what they were saying.

"W-What do you mean they've t-teamed up?!" Tamaki exclaimed, now highly worried. Mirio rubbed the back of his neck, trying to figure out what to say. "Well, you see, I couldn't really believe it either. But they have! All three of them are going to work together." He tried to explain. The indigo-haired boy seemed frantic.

"They weren't s-supposed to work together! That's n-not how this is supposed to g-go!" Tamaki ran one of his hands through his hair, freaking out. Mirio placed his hand on his friend's shoulder. "Hey, it's okay! We're part of the big three! We've got this!" He said with a tinge of guilt in his tone. The indigo-haired boy's eyes looking into the blonde's. "Why do I feel l-like there's something you're not t-telling me?" He asked.

Mirio looked down. "Um, well, you remember Momo Yaoyorozu, right?" He inquired, keeping his eyes on the floor. Tamaki put a hand to his temple. "D-Don't tell me..." He trailed off, not wanting to hear the ugly truth. The blonde laughed nervously. "She might, just maybe, be suspicious of us." He admitted.

"Ugh, I don't want to wait anymore!"

"I get it, you're impatient. However, we can't just burst right into things."

"Hah! You're one to talk, you b-"

"Now isn't the time to argue, you two."

"Right, I apologize, M-"

"There's no need for names, not now, anyway. We have to bide our time. We can save her soon enough."

"Fine! But don't expect me to be happy about it!"

"Oh, trust me, I wouldn't."
