You woke up thanks to the sun shining through your window. Wincing, you got up and started your day. After a couple of seconds, you noticed that your house was a lot cleaner than it was yesterday. You shrugged it off, thinking that you must've cleaned it after Kaminari left. However, you couldn't shake off a deep sense that something was wrong.

You walked to school alone with your hands in your pockets. The clouds had blocked the sun, keeping it from blinding you. You spaced out as you walked, not seeing any reason to be paying attention. A cold breeze passed by, making you shiver. "You cold?" You heard a voice ask from behind you.

Shinso walked up beside you, a slight smile on his face. "These blazers really aren't any good at keeping the cold away." He said, placing his hands in his pockets and walking next to you. You laughed. "Yeah, they're pretty thin." You agreed as the two of you near the school. The two of you chatted until Shinso had to walk to his class. You wandered around the school, noticing that you still had quite some time until class started.

You walked absentmindedly, admiring the large halls and nice architecture. At one point, while you were walking backward, you bumped into someone and caused them to fall. You turned around in an instant, apologizing profusely. It was a taller male with messy indigo hair. You held your hand out in an attempt to help him up. The shy boy hesitantly took your hand as you helped him off of the floor.

"I'm so sorry! I should've been looking where I was going! I'm (Y/N) (L/N), what's your name?" You slightly ranted, scaring the poor boy slightly. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked away. "I-I'm Tamaki A-Amajiki..." He trailed off, not looking you in the eyes. You smiled encouragingly at him, figuring that he had some type of social anxiety. His indigo eyes showed intimidation and slight worry.

You looked over to a clock that hung on the wall and internally freaked out. The class started in less than five minutes! "I'm really sorry, but I've got to go! It was really nice meeting you!" You called, leaving the taller boy behind. Amajiki blushed and began walking to his next class, seeming even more anxious than usual.

Aizawa had set up a research project. Unfortunately, it was a group project. Everyone would be in a group of three. As soon as this was announced, everyone's eyes glimmered with slight hope. That was until Aizawa said that he would be picking the teams. Most of the class sank in their seats, sighing sadly.

The groups were listed one by one. You waited anxiously for your name to be called, praying that you weren't with Mineta. "Kirishima, Kaminari, and (Y/N)." Aizawa finally stated as you breathed a sigh of relief. Sure, you were stuck with a group of people who weren't the brightest, but at least you weren't with a disgusting pervert!

Kirishima and Kaminari glared at each other but quickly changed it to a bright smile. The groups were released to work together for the rest of the class period. The two boys instantly went to your desk, pulling their chairs right next to you. You giggled at their enthusiasm as the three of you began working.

You noticed that Todoroki seemed miserable. He was in a group with Yaoyorozu and Mineta, so you could see why. It took everything you had not to giggle at the sight of his supposed misery. You switched your focus back to the research project, turning back to Kirishima and Kaminari. At first, the blonde meme didn't understand a thing that you had been talking about but soon learned it.

As you stepped out of the classroom for lunch, you looked around for Amajiki. You wanted to get to know him. It took you a few minutes, but you eventually saw him sitting with a blonde-haired boy and a periwinkle-haired girl. You slowly approached the group, smiling sweetly and waving at Amajiki.

"Sorry to bother you, Amajiki. I don't mean to bother you, but I was wondering if I could sit with you guys for lunch?" You asked, tilting your head to the side slightly. The blonde-haired boy smiled back, having a very friendly aura. "Of course you can sit with us! I'm Mirio Togata, by the way!" He excitedly said, holding out his hand for you to shake. You accepted it instantly.

"I'm (Y/N) (L/N), it's really great to meet you." You answered, sitting down next to Mirio and across from Amajiki. The periwinkle-haired girl's face lit up. "So you're the transfer that everyone's been talking about? Is it true what they say? Do you really have fear manipulation?" She asked quickly, talking about a mile a minute. You smiled, rubbing the back of your neck.

"Yeah, my quirk is fear manipulation." You answered awkwardly, laughing slightly. The periwinkle-haired girl's eyes widened for a split second. "Oh right! I should introduce myself! I'm Nejire Hado!" She exclaimed, a bright and cheery smile on her face. The four of you (minus Amajiki, that is) talked for the rest of lunch, learning more about each other and having a good time.

"You should sit with us again tomorrow!" Mirio said as he started walking to his next class. Nejire nodded. "Yeah! I think that you should sit with us every day! What do you think, Amajiki?" She ranted. Amajiki jumped, not expecting for his opinion to be asked. "I-I wouldn't m-mind..." He muttered, looking away shyly.

You smiled to yourself as you began walking to the bookstore, thinking about the nice day you just had. It didn't take long for you to get to your destination, a few minutes max. You entered the quaint little store silently, going over to the poetry section. After what Shinso had said, you'd been meaning to read more.

Just as you recalled what the lilac-haired boy said to you, you caught sight of him standing in one of the poetry aisles with a book in his hand. At first, you didn't want to disturb him. He seemed deep in thought. After a couple of seconds of debating with yourself, you gently tapped him on the shoulder. "Oh, (Y/N)." He said, turning to look you in the eyes.

"Hey, Shinso!" You replied, smiling. He closed the book he had, making sure to save his page. "What brings you here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. You rubbed the back of your neck shyly. "I've been meaning to read more, and I figured I might as well buy a few books today..." You trailed off. He smiled. "I could recommend a few if you'd like."

"Damnit! I- We were so close!"

"Don't worry. Everything will work out, there's no way that this could go wrong."
