"Scott?"

The blonde felt the bed dip beside him and a warm hand on his back.

"Are you alright?"

He sighed. "No..."

Mitch paused and took a deep breath. "Wanna talk about it?"

Scott nodded and still didn't look up. "Give me a moment?"

"Got it. Shall I try to make you a cup of tea?" Mitch asked.

"Can you make me a cup of coffee, please?" Scott asked.

"Sure. I'll see you in a bit." Mitch got up and left the room again.

Scott stayed on the bed for a few more minutes and then pulled his phone out, hoping that either Esther or Avi had texted him. And in fact, Esther had done, so.

"Hi, Scott. I just wanted to let you know that Avi is home. He told me that he's tired, but I will definitely go and visit him tomorrow. I hope that you are well and I'll see you on Monday."

Scott sighed. He was relieved to know that Avi was safe and at home, but he still wanted to know what was going on and why the musician hadn't texted when he got home. Maybe he would text him tomorrow. He texted Esther back, thanked her for letting him know about Avi and that she should tell him that he said 'hi' when she'd visit him the next day. Then he got up and went into the living room to meet Mitch.

"Just a moment..." Mitch said and the joined him with two cups of steaming coffee. "Here you are."

"Thank you, Mitch. I don't know why but I have been craving this coffee." He took a sip of the still-hot drink and then put his mug on the coffee table.

Mitch did the same and then looked at his best friend. "What happened?"

Scott took a deep breath. He didn't know where to start. "A lot, Mitchy, a lot."

Mitch smiled at his best friend. "It's been a long day, hmm? Why don't you tell me? I'm a good listener and I won't tell anything about whatever you might tell me about Avi."

"I know..." Scott said. "I just don't know where to begin..."

"At the beginning, maybe? I mean he picked you up, right?" Mitch asked.

Scott nodded. "He did. And the drive to the cabin was so nice. We talked a lot and he told me a lot of things about him. Very private things which I won't tell even you, but I am so glad that he trusts me enough to tell me these things."

"I get that you're not telling me these things, because it shows that Avi can trust you" Mitch replied. "But there's more, hmm? Tell me about the rest of your day?"

"Well, we started shooting and there was a scene where Avi was lying in bed and had a literal stone on his chest. And when I removed the stone I cut him and then took care of the scratch... we ended up being alone and..."

Mitch raised an eyebrow. "And?"

"We kissed..." Scott mumbled.

Mitch clapped his hands once. "I don't want to say that I knew it but I knew it," he said victoriously. He then looked back at Scott. "It was a good kiss though, wasn't it?"

Scott smiled and nodded at his best friend. "It was wonderful and he... he took my hand and held it until we were back with the others." He sighed and then looked down.

"But that's good, Scott, why are you so sad?" Mitch wanted to know.

"I..." Scott sighed once more. "It was a really nice day and then, when we were getting ready to leave, Avi just drove off. Without me. He didn't tell anyone where he was going, just... he just left."
