Scott managed to find someone at the bar after searching for a few minutes.

"Erm, excuse me? I'm here with Avi Kaplan and I have a quick question?"

The young woman looked up from her paper and smiled. "Of course, what's up?"

"We just wanted to know for how long we can use the location today. We're still waiting for the equipment and everything, the van should be arriving in two hours and the band wants to set up and practice for a bit."

"Oh, you can be here until 1 am. There's a bar next door that will be open till 12.30 and we'd like to be done at 1. But we can close up this place whenever you're finished, so you don't need to worry about the equipment" she explained.

Scott smiled. "That's wonderful news, thank you very much."

"You're welcome. I'm heading back over to the bar in a moment, if you need anything, just come and find me or my colleagues in the bar."

Scott nodded. "We will. Thank you." He headed backstage again and listened for any sign of Kaleb and Noah. There was music coming out of another room, adjacent to the one Avi was napping in, so he knocked.

"Yeah?"

Scott opened the door and smiled at Kaleb and Noah who were chilling on the sofa. "I just asked for how long we could stay here tonight, they said 1 am," he said.

"That's good news" Kaleb replied and stretched his arms. "Any signs of the van?"

"None" Scott replied.

"Mmhm... Avi is probably napping?"

Scott chuckled. "How do you know?"

"Oh, he always naps on tour. You'll find him in the weirdest spots" Noah replied. "Usually he'll be gone between the soundcheck and the show and he'll just sleep for an hour or two."

"Aaah, good to know," Scott said and suppressed a yawn. "Anything else I need to know about what he wants and needs on tour?"

"Not really. He's very easy going" Kaleb replied. "He just needs naps, tea, good food after the show, but then again, that's what we all need. We usually know places we order from and if we don't we'll agree on something beforehand and order. Sometimes if the locations have a bar adjacent, they'll organise food. It varies."

"True. I've been on tour with a few different artists, but Avi definitely is the easiest. He's a lot of fun to be around and he communicates his needs. Like if he wants to nap, he just says that he needs an hour and we leave him to it. In the past, Esther checked on him when it was time to get ready because if he sleeps he sleeps" Noah said.

Scott smiled. He somehow was reminded of sleeping in the hammock with Avi, a night which was a fond memory. "Well," he finally said. "I'll take over the waking up duties then," he said. "And I'll retreat for a while, as well. "Let's meet in an hour?" He yawned again and Kaleb chuckled.

"Yeah, you should definitely take a nap," he said. "It's going to get late today, but I don't mind because it means that we get to sleep in tomorrow, hopefully."

"A dream," Scott said and chuckled. "Anyway, I'll see you." He left the room and went back to Avi's room to check on him and to get comfortable, too.

He smiled when he saw Avi curled up on the sofa, just the way he had left him, sleeping soundly. He even was snoring a little bit, a sound Scott loved so much. The blonde debated whether he should just lie down or have a cup of tea first, but decided to just sleep for the time being, even though Avi was a good sleeper, he didn't want to disturb his previous rest.

Thankfully the sofa was L-shaped and while Avi was lying on the longer side, Scott could still lie down on the other side with his knees bent. Better than nothing. He set a soft alarm for 30 minutes and closed his eyes.

When his alarm went off, Scott silenced it immediately. He sighed softly and sat up, knowing that he would fall asleep if he didn't do something. The nap had been nice, but way too short. Still, he needed to get up and make some tea for himself and Avi before waking the musician up.

He didn't really like going through Avi's bag, but he was allowed to do so. There was a big box right on top of everything else that contained different kinds of tea and a package of tea filtres. He chose the strong tea, knowing that they still had a long day ahead of them.

Once he was finished, he went back over to Avi. His hour was over and even if Scott just wanted to let him sleep, he knew that the bearded man needed to get up.

"Avi? Avi, Love..." he said softly, kneeling next to the sofa. He pushed a strand of hair out of his face and caressed the soft skin right above his beard with his thumb.

"Mhm..." Avi hummed softly and stirred.

"Time to wake up, Avi. I've got tea for us" Scott said softly. He smiled when he saw that Avi opened his eyes. "Tea always works."

Avi grinned. "It does. You found everything?" He sat up slowly and rubbed his eyes.

"I did" Scott replied and sat down next to Avi. "There you are." He handed over a mug to him and smiled. "Hope it tastes good."

Avi smiled. "It will," he said and took a sip. "So good, thank you."

Scott smiled. "You're welcome. I talked to the people here by the way. We can be in here until 1 am. And there's an adjacent bar where we can go if we need anything" he explained.

"Good. Thank you, Scotty" Avi replied. "Even though I hope that we'll finish quickly. I am still tired. Don't know why, though. The nap was really nice." He leaned his head against Scott's shoulder. "Missed you near me..."

"Mmhm, me too" Scott replied. "But we'll have tonight."

"And tomorrow is show day and we can sleep in... or cuddle in, whatever." Avi smiled. "As long as it's with you. We won't have much time when we're travelling."

"I know. You keep telling me. But I don't mind, Avi. You matter, your feelings matter. And I am always around you, you won't get rid of me" Scott said softly. "And we'll make our moments together count. Even if it's only having a cup of tea tog-"

He was cut off by a knock. Avi sat up straighter and moved over a little bit. "Yeah, come in."

Kaleb stuck his head inside the room and smiled at them. "Hi, just wanted to let you know that the van is here. We'll start unpacking right away, just join us once you finished your tea."

Avi smiled. "Thank you. We'll be there in a moment. Did you want tea, too?"

Kaleb shook his head. "Nope. We had coffee. See you." He closed the door again and Avi looked over to Scott.

"Seems as if our little break is over," he said and drank his tea a little quicker.

Scott did the same. "Mmhm, but the earlier we start, the earlier we finish," he said and put down his mug once it was empty. He got up and stretched his arms over his head. "Come on."

Avi finished his tea as well and then got up. He took Scott's hand and pulled him in for a soft kiss. He held on to his hand until they were at the door and only let go as he opened it.

It was time to power through the rest of the day before they would be able to spend the night together.
