Three days later, Scott was sitting on his bed, surrounded by heaps of clothes and stuff and his new suitcase and duffel bag. He didn't know what to do, didn't know where to start. He only knew that he needed to pack up quickly because Avi would be coming over for a few hours. He had dinner plans with his family and Scott had plans with Mitch. So because they would only see each other at the airport the next day, they wanted to at least spend a few hours together.
While he was trying to pack his stuff up, Scott didn't mind looking at the clock, so he was surprised when he heard the doorbell.
"Shit shit shit" he chanted when he saw that it was indeed, Avi. He had spent quite a few hours trying to get his stuff together with no success.
Mitch was out at a work event so Scott had to get up himself to open the door for his boyfriend. "Hi, Avi," he said, sounding slightly out of breath.
Avi smiled brightly at him. "Hi, Scotty, how are you?" He hugged him tight and kissed his lips softly.
"Urgh, don't ask me" the blonde replied.
Avi furrowed his brows. "I am asking you, sweetheart, because I care for you," he said softly.
Scott smiled at his boyfriend. "I know. It's just... I am packing and it is just not working out" he explained and shrugged his shoulders. "But well, I'll do it later tonight. For now, I want to be with you. Come on, we'll get comfy on the sofa, want a cup of tea?"
Avi smiled. "I'll take a cup of tea, but we could go into your bedroom and try to sort
out your mess? It cannot be too bad. And remember that I have experience when it comes to packing?"
Scott sighed. "It is very bad..."
Avi kissed his pouty lips. "Show me?"
Scott sighed once again. "I... okay" he finally agreed. "Come on, I'll show you. But it really is bad, don't judge, okay?"
Avi chuckled. "I will never judge you, especially because I know that you're not judging me either."
Scott smiled back at him. "I would never," he said and finally opened the door to his room. "Here..."
Avi took a deep breath. "Well..." he began.
"I know," Scott said, drawing out the work so that it almost sounded like he was whining.
"Actually, it's not as bad as I expected it to be. Yes, it's a mess, but at least it looks like there is some sort of system in it? Like I see heaps of clothes and heaps of university stuff, toiletries... we'll get it done, quickly, if you want me to help?" Avi asked.
Scott nodded. "Please?"
"Good." Avi clapped his hands. "We'll start with the clothes. I'll roll and you put it in."
"Roll?" Scott asked.
Avi grabbed the first pair of pants and carefully rolled it up. "Yes, doesn't wrinkle as bad, safes space and it is easier to find stuff if you ask me."
"Mmhm..." Scott hummed. "If you say so" he smiled at his boyfriend and took the clothes his boyfriend handed him and put them into the suitcase. They worked like this for a while until Scott huffed. "It's too small! I think I need to leave things behind."
Avi looked over at him and chuckled. "Why don't you make a cup of tea and I'll get your suitcase into order, okay?"
Scott sighed. "You don't have to. We could snuggle up on the sofa..."
But Avi shook his head. "No. You make tea and then we cuddle up after we finished packing."
"If you say so," Scott said. He got up and leaned down to Avi, kissed his cheek softly. "You're wonderful, thank you so much." He left Avi and went into the kitchen where he poured two cups of fruit tea. Once he was done he left the cups on the counter so the tea could steep and went back into his room where he saw that all of his clothes were in the suitcase and Avi was going through his toiletries.
