Scott woke up with a start. He was alone in the bed in his childhood room. Both he and Avi had gone home for Thanksgiving. Of course, they had wanted to spend the days together, but both were eager to be with their families as well, so they decided to part ways for the holiday. Still, they called each other at least once a day to catch up.

The blonde didn't know why woke up until he saw his best friend sitting on the edge of the bed. "Jesus, Mitch! Are you kidding me?"

"Good morning to you too, Scotty. How are you on this special day?" Mitch greeted him with a huge grin on his face.

Scott groaned and looked at his phone. "We're having brunch today, but only in an hour. So why are you here?"

"Are you serious? You don't know what day is today?" Mitch scoffed. "What kind of boyfriend are you?"

"Mitch, I've been up for two minutes and I-" Scott stopped there and slapped his forehead. "The Grammy nominations!" He sat up straight and unlocked his phone. "Are they up, yet?"

Mitch chuckled. "The major categories are out, but the full list will come out sometime soon. I keep reloading their Twitter page every twenty seconds."

"Urgh, I should do this" Scott said. He searched for the official Twitter page of the Grammy's and gasped. "Mitch? I think it's online?"

"No, that's just the list with the already announced main categories. I think the list will be out within the next hour, though" Mitch explained calmly.

Scott ran a hand through his hair. "I... need to text Avi. Do I call him? I don't know. Mitch this is huge. I know that with his album he will be eligible for the awards in his genre, but what if he doesn't make it?" He sighed. "God I wish that I was with him."

"Scott. You are here right now and he's in California. But this is how it is right now" Mitch said patiently. "Did he say anything about the nominations? Like how he feels about it?"

"He said he would be honoured by the nomination, but he doesn't expect it to happen" Scott replied. "Maybe I'll just text him. I don't know if he's up, yet anyway" He took his phone and quickly texted his boyfriend:

-"Good Morning, Love. How are you feeling on this day?"

He furrowed his brows when it wasn't Avi who replied but Esther:

-"Good Morning, Scott. I saw that you texted Avi. He is already out with Dad, they're on a little hiking trip. I think that he didn't want to think about the nominations, but I assume that you are?"

-"Of course I am, Esther. I am actually very nervous. He deserves it so much. Mitch is with me though, he's checking Twitter regularly."

-"Good. Tell him I said 'hi' and I am keeping my fingers crossed as well. I'll tell Avi to call you once he's home. He won't be late, Mum and I will be cooking lunch."

-"Wonderful, thank you. Take care!"

"How can he go hiking today?" Mitch, who had been reading the messages, asked.

Scott chuckled. "He would hate to sit there and wait. I hate it, too. I'd rather be outside in nature with him and come home to the news" he explained.

Mitch chuckled. "Yes, but you have me, I'll take care of getting the news, okay? Maybe you should take some time to get ready for brunch? Grammy nominations or not, we have a table booked at 10:30."

Scott sighed and reluctantly got up. "But you tell me if there's news?" He asked after he had collected the clothes he needed.

Mitch chuckled. "I will storm into the bathroom while you're in the shower if needed" he joked.
