A walk in the park

Scott smiled when he woke up to a message from his boyfriend. He was glad that Avi was okay and apparently in a good mood.

"Good. I just got up. Will have some breakfast now and then learn a little bit and then I'll call you once I'm taking a break. Just let me know when you wake up. Drink a huge mug of tea, please and try to get as comfortable as possible on the long drive. I'll talk to you later, my dearest love. Xx"

Once he had sent the text he got up and prepared himself a huge mug of tea and a yoghurt for breakfast and ate them out on the small balcony.

Afterwards he took his books and papers and revised everything he needed for the exam.

"Wow, someone is up early."

Scott turned around and smiled at his best friend. "And someone else is a heavy sleeper" he replied.

"Mmhm, but I only need to work in the afternoon today" Mitch replied. "With the fall line done, we're just gathering inspiration for the next line... and the boss is in Europe so we're taking it easy." He shrugged his shoulders. "You?"

"Revising, of course. But I feel like I've got everything. I'm planning to take a little break now, maybe for a walk through the park and then call Avi once he's up and revise some more in the late afternoon" Scott explained.

"A walk through the park sounds like a lot of fun actually" Mitch said. "If you want me to tag along that is?"

Scott grinned. "Are you kidding me? I missed best friend's time. I'll just go and get ready. There's a little café near the park, I often went there with Avi. They have a lot of wonderful teas and the coffee is really nice, too. And they have the cutest little cakes and little sandwiches if you're hungry."

"You had me at little cakes" Mitch said, smiling brightly. "I'll get dressed. Let's leave in 15?"

Scott nodded. "Yep."

"What else is new? Any development in your relationship?"

The two friends were walking through a rather quiet part of the park, with noone around who could hear them as they were talking about this and that, basically catching up about everything that had been happening over the past month.

"Hmm, what exactly do you mean?" Scott asked, a soft smile on his face.

"I mean you have spent quite a few nights in hotel rooms and I reckon you shared?" Mitch wanted to know.

Scott chuckled. "Well. Of course we shared rooms. And of course a few things happened over the time. He likes to cuddle and so do I."

Mitch chuckled. "I know."

"Mmhm... so we cuddled a lot, took our time just being with one another, talking, kissing, god he's such a good kisser. The way his beard tickles on my skin" Scott felt himself shiver. "So good."

Mitch smirked. "On your skin, huh?" he remarked.

Scott grinned. "Mmhm..." he hummed. "Anyway, if you really need to know, we haven't gone all the way, yet. We were both prepared with condoms and everything, but we never went there. I feel like this is something we might only experience at home? Where we're not just having one night between concerts? I don't know. I feel like he is getting more comfortable with everything. But he was so... nervous the first time, almost anxious and it took a moment for him to be really comfortable in the situation" he explained.

"So you feel like it would be better to wait until you're home again so Avi will be more comfortable?" Mitch asked.

Scott nodded. "Yes."

Mitch hummed. "I am just wondering... is he a virgin? I mean when it comes to having sex with a man?"

Scott furrowed his brows. "No... I mean he told me about one-night stands he had before we met. So I never thought about it. I mean... I always thought that he was nervous because he knows that I'm not that small? And the first time we got intimate, maybe he thought I just wanted to get straight to the point? I don't know. I told him that we would take our time and only go as far as we're both ready to go. And whenever we've been intimate so far, he's been into it once we've begun. No sign of him being uncomfortable. Maybe I should ask him if the moment is right?" He shrugged his shoulders.

"Hmm maybe you actually should do this. Perhaps it is because he is used to having one-night stands and they're usually easy with no strings attached. You on the other hand are someone he wants to be with for the long run? Maybe this is why he was a little nervous?" Mitch mused. "I don't know... it was just a thought. But I know that whatever you'll do, you'll be good to him."

"I'm doing my very best" Scott said happily. He smiled when he saw that his boyfriend had texted him:

"Good morning, Love. I just woke up after a very good night's sleep. The tourbus is fairly quiet, I feel like we all need some time to relax and unwind. We're stopping soon for a while, so Miles can take his break and I think I'll find a good spot to meditate.
I hope that you're having a nice day. Don't stress yourself about the exams too much, you worked so hard with Kaleb, you'll ace it.
Let me know when you want to call, I'll turn my notifications off during my meditation.

Scott smiled when he read the text. He was glad that Avi had apparently slept well and was taking care of himself. "Just a second..."

Mitch chuckled softly. "Take your time."

Scott smiled and started to type:

"Hello my Love. I'm glad that you got so much sleep, especially on the tourbus. After all you need to unwind from the stress of the past 3 concerts. And I am also glad that you're able to meditate. I hope that you'll find a beautiful quiet spot to focus on yourself. I'm taking care of myself, too. I revised a little bit this morning and right now I am out in the park with Mitch for a walk. We'll stop by the little café you showed me on our way home. Then I'll revise some more. I don't know when I'll be home, why don't you just give me a call once you've got time. I definitely don't want to interfere with your meditation, I know how much you'll need it. Anyway, dear, I am looking forward to hearing your voice. Xx Scott."
